Just curious

So I was rereading The Last Stand of the New York Institute, and something was bugging me.

So the Lightwoods were sent to New York to “atone for their mistakes”

The Fairchilds tried to escape Valentine and therefore hide in New York

The Herondales... well, there was only Jace, we knew how he ended up in NY

But the Blackthorns were in Los Angeles BEFORE the Circle.

Like the Lightwoods, Fairchilds and Herondales they were from Britain originally

How did they end up in LA if they were basically not involved in the Circle and had no apparent reason to leave the UK? Did the Clave just happened to send them to LA to run the Institute or was there a bigger reason for this?

(I mean they weren’t exactly devoted followers of the law so... they might have done something??)

What is going on with Lucie Herondale marrying a supposed long dead Jesse Blackthorn?!

Theory #1 : Jesse is faking his own death, although I don't know how that's possible

Theory #2: Lucie is not marrying a Blackthorn... but then how are the Blackthorns in present days possible

Theory #3 : It has something to do with Tatiana and her own nefariously evil plan

This is getting really messed-up

And who the heck is GRACE? Please don't tell me she's a Cartwright
