thank you. i have just seen so many people like “you should feel this way” or “you shouldn’t feel this way” about pynch, about the book, etc. and i’m like i know what i’m about son. i know what i feel. let me have this one thing.. please D:
i literally hate this attitude more than anything in the whole world and it really just sucks the fun out of the experience. like listen i dont come here to have some kids try and tell me what to do im a grown ass person and i pay taxes
i think what makes trc different, or at least this reading experience is that its easy to get really attached to these characters bc there so many facets and elements to them that are extremely relateable to the Growing Up Experience.
so to see people telling others How to feel about characters and ships based off their own personal feelings sort of cuts deeper and straight up tells people that the way they interpreted this thing, the thing they’ve related to it, is wrong. and that’s not right and its not at all fair.
