PLEASE write redwall fanfic. those books were an integral part of my childhood, but the problems with worldbuilding and morality (so you're telling me ALL predators are bad?? aaaalll??) really makes them hard to read nowadays. it'd be great to see your approach to tackling these issues.

first we gotta talk where the cheese comes from. I only remember one domestic animal appearing in the books I read. A horse. Cluny rode it and it was huge, like the size a horse should be to a rat.

who domesticated it?

where does the cheese come from? Are there huge cows? if so, where are they? goats? who milks these? How do they do it if they are tiny?

Are there huge deer? do huge grazing animals just trample things every season?

is wheat, if they have flour, giant size, regular size, or tiny size? what is the frame of scale?

why aren’t the bees huge to the rodents? to us, would they be tiny micro-bees?

there’s lots of slavers but really very few people to sell slaves to.

are trees normal size or giant size? Do they chop wood to fuel fires? if so, how?

why are cats huge size but foxes smaller, not a similar size?

i'm sorry people have a terrible understanding of your character. it's always the character with mentally ill traits that gets turned into a monster by the fandom. like, just let one character who's clearly coded as having ocpd traits be a good guy, okay? just one. this is absurd and you don't deserve this.

thank you. i just wish that people used aus as a chance to make bad things Not Happen, instead of just rehashing the same plot to make phoenix and miles ~~fall in love~~ in some fantasy setting only with even more plot holes than the original games. with Bonus Mischaracterization

there's always watching old movies. the best is to find a silent film, or one in a foreign language, and make up a running narration. do silly voices and really make it outrageous.

OK EXCEPT I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE TALK DURING MOVIES UNLESS THEY ARE VERY HILARIOUS IN THE SPECIFIC WAY THAT I, THE ANGRY CONTROL QUEEN, DEMAND. I guess this could work if I make everyone sign a Hilarity Contract and can boot them for subpar work

could commitment problems be a bpd + stpd thing too? although maybe for different reasons. the idea of being close to/emotionally intimate with people just seems kinda gross? like why would i want someone to know me that well and have that big of an impact on my actions DANGER

oh yeah, definitely. with stpd you can be really paranoid about a person’s motives, and not trust them enough to be committed to them. that paired with bpd’s own commitment issues, its pretty probable. (hope this was okay to publish btw)

after a long time of cycling through pronouns without feeling like anything fit i've found that i feel really good about it/its pronouns. but i always hear about how 'it' is really awful and never ever call a trans person that, and i'm feeling conflicted. thoughts from the mods?

hey, there! so the thing with “it” pronouns is that it’s not okay to use them for (trans) people who do not /explicitly/ say that those are their pronouns. if you’re trans and those are the pronouns you feel most comfortable with, absolutely go ahead and use it/its!!

one thing that i’ve seen people who use it pronouns do is have an auxiliary set (like he/she/they, or no pronouns at all, if that’s more comfortable for you than any of the other three) that people who are triggered by it pronouns (like some abuse survivors might be) can use. i would suggest only telling someone those if they ask if you have alternative sets that you’re comfortable with, though, so you don’t get misgendered by people thinking your aux set is okay to use as a primary set…if that makes sense?

but basically, yeah, you can use it pronouns. i've known several people who used it pronouns, too, so you're in good company :)

do you have any information on comorbidity between BPD and OCPD? there seems to be a huge lack of resources about OCPD in general to be honest, especially if you ignore stuff conflating it with OCD (i.e. a lot of stuff).

Like the post about ASPD/BPD co-morbidity, I’ll begin this by saying that people with OCPD/BPD co-morbidity will have varying experiences, depending on their unique symptoms. I will provide examples of what the co-morbidity can look like, but none of these examples are a required experience, nor are they universal for all people who have both BPD and OCPD.

(Also, a quick note for other readers: OCD =/= OCPD)

A common symptom seen in OCPD is low empathy levels. (Another reminder that low empathy does not necessarily mean someone has low sympathy levels.) People with BPD can have fluctuating empathy levels (usually high), so with a co-morbidity with OCPD, it can really go either way. Empathy levels may change depending on the day, the situation, and the people. When people with BPD are unable to read the emotions of another person, they usually assume that person is angry. This in combination with OCPD’s low empathy, someone with co-morbidity may very often feel as if the people around them are angry, which can lead to a great amount of stress and anxiety.

Another way this co-morbidity can manifest is how a person approaches relationships. Between the borderline desire for closeness and the obsessive-compulsive perfectionism regarding other people (and often even avoidance of closeness), someone with both disorders may find themselves stressed out by the people around them and their inability to meet their needs. Relationships may come and go very quickly, and long-lasting ones may be marked with mistrust and a lot of criticism. Someone with both OCPD and BPD may constantly nitpick at flaws in a relationship, demanding they be addressed immediately in order to calm anxiety they have about the relationship falling apart. As soon as the smallest thing goes wrong, it has to be fixed immediately.

People with OCPD also tend to put relationships second to their work or other goal-oriented project. This can really affect the borderline tendency to withdraw from a relationship. A co-morbidity may result in someone withdrawing to bury themselves in their work or hobbies.

People with OCPD also tend to set impossibly high goals for themselves. In combination with BPD’s low self-esteem, a co-morbidity can lead to the person never being satisfied with themselves. It’s probably incredibly hard for them to like anything about themselves, and they’ll constantly push themselves harder.

Someone with co-morbid BPD and OCPD may have extreme difficulty expressing themselves and measuring the range of their own emotions. They probably feel a LOT, but rarely show it or open up to anyone. Others may describe them as distant or even cold, but it’s really just a matter of them bottling up everything. But even they may not realize the intensity of their own emotions.

Both disorders can feature an inability to finish projects, inability to plan properly for the future, impulsivity, self-criticism, and anxiety.
