Thank you! It feels silly because I've seen so many (I laughed out loud when she asked if I'd been to one before), but it was so difficult, especially because I didn't want to be the obnoxious person who is like "here is my diagnosis, sign off on it" and what finally got me there was insurance bureaucracy issues, but she was really understanding :)

:DDD YAY this can help you out with your insurance then, that's great omg!!

Yeah! And she says I'll be able to access more resources with a formal diagnosis--I know it can help getting disability services, which I've always been skittish around but ... it would probably help, esp since I struggle more with the physical end of things.

I think I know what article you're referring to, and my thoughts were similar, esp. since it had so many assistive/adaptive technologies for disabilities as part of it.

I mean it's hard to pick favourites but I think a contender for favourite part is when these articles are like "it is a thing that is worrying about this idea that a superclass could develop of people with better intelligence/senses/endurance/abilities than the rest of us!!!!!"

and I'm like "oh yes that sounds horrible and fascinating and so very dystopian, do tell me more :)))))) *chinhands*"

(also for that matter maybe tell me more about actual examples of the Rich People Giving Themselves State Of The Art Superhuman Abilities The Rest of Us Can't Have....??? bc otherwise it looks (even more) like misguided fearmongering t b q h)

Lev I am so sorry I am the slowest (and I won't be sending this on because picking people really stresses me out). Anyway, here goes. 

I'm naturally very charitable when I disagree with someone. This isn't always a good thing because I tend towards the extreme of assuming I must be wrong and then trying to figure out how, but I can correct for that and still assume the best of people and do a good job of treating their perspective fairly.

Somewhat related, I'm very open to changing my mind when I really am wrong. 

I'm very curious. 

I'm getting better at understanding my limits and being nice to myself when I can't seem to do all the things other people can. It's a struggle, and I still err on the side of assuming my problems are fake, but I'm improving. 

I am amazing at finding appropriate jewelry for fictional characters. I am so good at this.
