idk if anyone’s said this yet, but i think the line “you called me for six years and left me to die in the fighting pit” might be delivered by projection!bellamy instead of the actual bellamy.
in the 6x08 trailer, murphy mentioned something about brain surgery? imagine if they (bellamy + kru) have clarke’s unconcious body strapped down on an operating table or something, and while all this is happening out in the real world, clarke is having this conversation with projection!bellamy in her mindspace. everyone’s getting ready to perform/help with the surgery, when all of a sudden, clarke starts “sleep-talking.” in which she’s actually just repeating everything she’s saying in her mindspace out loud for everyone in the room to hear (INCLUDING BELLAMY who hasn’t stopped pacing bc he’s worried af for his wife). at first, she mumbles a soft pained, “im so sorry, bellamy” but its enough to get everyone’s attention (especially bellamy’s, who immediately stops pacing and rushes to her side). then in clarke’s mindspace, the conversation with projection!bellamy starts getting heated, it starts getting louder. projection!bellamy starts yelling at clarke, “YOU LEFT ME TO DIE,” and now clarke’s body in the real world is thrashing around, her head is shaking from side to side, her lips are trembling, tears are running down her shut eyelids, and she’s crying out, “IM SORRY BELLAMY IM SORRY. PLEASE. YOU HAVE TO FORGIVE ME. PLEASE FORGIVE ME. IM SORRY.” and everyone in the room is looking at her half worried/half confused. and bellamy’s trying his fuckin hardest to hold back his tears because he hates seeing clarke in so much pain. he’s stroking her head, trying to calm her down, whispering in her ear, “Shh, Princess. I’m here. There’s nothing to forgive, but if you need forgiveness, i’ll give that to you. I’ll always forgive you. Who does forgiveness better than us?”
"Your brother left you to die, why are you so eager to get back to him? Why aren't we enough?" - You tell her diyoza!!! I love my Octavia so much but my God, her love for her brother will be the dead of her. Listen to Diyoza, she love you very much
The fact that the writers are stating that Echo recognizes that Clarke is important to Bellamy. Not just you know “she’s he’s friend she’s important” no Echo dead ass knows that on that ring losing Clarke nearly destroyed him and left him broken, she knows that if he doesn’t save Clarke there is no going back for Bellamy and I stan her selflessness in that aspect so much because she could have been the girl who was selfish in her love for Bellamy but she isn’t and she knows that even though he loves her, what he feels for Clarke far exceeds what they could have and while it fucking breaks my heart. I love it
T100 Writers: "Okay Kane's finally dead. Can't think of anything to do with Abby anymore. Eh, I guess we'll just get rid of her right away too." 🤔
Also T100 Writers: "Omg we are so sad to lose Paige and Abby. This hurts us so much to say goodbye. What an unfortunate loss." 😭
Also T100 Writers: "Anyways, we're also going to miss *looks at smudged writing on hand* Harry Ethan Cubrick." 😑
The 100 Thoughts
Okay so after 5x10 here are my thoughts about the episode and maybe about whats to come. (obv a lot about Octavia and obv Spoilers)
I love this episode, crazy shit happened but it was good, and the acting was fantastic, Marie deserves all the awards.
When Octavia spread her own blood on her face, such an interestin concept because her "Armor" for Blodreina was the blood of her enemies, and in the moment she seems to finally accept that there is a difference between Octavia and Blodreina, and she is her own worst enemy
Shes tired od just STAYING alive, of just SURVIVING. They went through hell in the bunker, some intense shit happened during the dark year to a point that no one speaks about it, and somehow Octavia had to shoulder that alone (from her saying to Indra "you just watched"). They went though hell not just to stay there and continue only surviving, she wants out, she wants to lead her people to the promise land, to the valley, and nothing short of that will be good enough for Blodreina. So she sets Octavia aside, wipes her blood (her enemys blood) on her face and fully becoming Blodreina, doing hwatever it takes to bring her people to the valley.
She took extreme measure, burning down the farm, and the algae, which I didnt like and dont agree with ...but to an extent I get where Blodreina was coming from. As I said, nothing else other then going to the valley will be good enough for her after all that she had to do to get Wonkru where it is. But on top of that, Why would she settle for the bunker when theres a more viable option, and with McCreary out there, she wouldnt know if he was about to launch an attack on her at any moment, if they march and go to war, if they win, they dont have to worry anymore, about anything. Not about an eminent attack, or about food. She cant bring her people and let them be free. Octavia might have settled for the bunker but Blodreina wanted more, so Octavia had to go.
I didnt particularly think the fight scene with Indra and Bellamy was super realistic. Yea it looked cool but Indra is a trained warrior, she was chief of her whole clan, she has trained many other great warriors, she probably has 20+yrs experience and even with an injury, she is a bad ass fighter. Bellamy trained with echo sure, but with no experience of actually fighting in a real fight, he always used guns before. And Echo said it took him like 3 years to trust her, I doubt they started training immediately. So say he has like 4 years experience, I dont see how he was holding his own so well against Indra. Like sure he can be good, but maybe show struggling a little...(which also brings me the fight with Octavia which I think was also a bit unrealistic. Sure she was injured but she was an accomplished warrior before becoming Blodreina, she won the conclave, and Bellamy just puts her on her ass...after taking a cheap shot of course and hitting her right on her injury...)Anyway
I also didnt appreciate the "Red Queen, what a joke" line. Octavias face says it all. How can you just come down there, say your trying to understand when clearly you didnt even take 10 minutes to try and understand anything, and call it a joke. You have no idea what she went through, you have no idea what she had to do to keep her people alive, and you just dismiss all of it by "what a joke"....
However the rest of that scene made me cry. Octavia reminiscing about their past, her maybe trying to connect with him one last time before fully becoming Blodreina. The lily pad story. Although as soon as she said the words, first one who touches the ground dies. I immediately made a parallel in my head (probably as did everyone) to the Pilot where she was the first one on the ground. And its interesting how she said ground, and not floor. Its inside, usually you would say floor, so I think it was intentional, to make us think of that, and how from many perspectives it can seem how she has lost. She lost Lincoln and herself for some time, even still now she battling with who she is. She lost her sense and idea of home. She has now lost the few people left she could truly trust. Bellamy no longer there for her, and Indra betraying her. Spacekru may have had it hard at first, getting the hydro farm going but they had it relatively easy. When you think of the three places you have spacekru in heaven, where they had it pretty easy, Clarke in purgatory where they had a good thing in the valley but they were mostly confined to there and then Wonkru in the bunker, in hell, having to struggle to survive, in less than a month realizing they were stuck and would have to figure out a way to reduce population, and having fighting pitts and probably people questioning her, and then the dark year. In those 6 years the others had peace, but Octavia never did. the whole time was a constant struggle. And then they judge her for how hard shes become and question her for putting Wonkru as her priority when thats all shes done for 6 years.
And poor Monty, all he wanted was to be a farmer, grow stuff, be happy, and then she had to burn all his crops. I feel bad for him. But now with the crops gone and him having to leave the bunker, I think he will put that amazing mind to work and either successfully develop another farmable/survivable land (like the valley) or will discover the lost Eligius ship and people will be faced with the decision of going back to space again.
me this time last year: I’m a little worried for Emori this season, like I hope they don’t write her off or anything, she has so much potential as a character it’d be pretty disappointing.
me now:
It's been there since season 1 but anyway I'm happy for their growth and the development of their relationship. Okay, nice words, but now IT'S TIME TO GIVE US WHAT IS DUE HURRY UP ALREADY
