Homework and Wifi

Do you ever just wait until the weekend before your project is due to actually start the damn thing. It’s Friday night and you’re working to get it done, but then you glance at your phone on top of your desk and the laptop at the end of your bed and give in. You tell yourself all I’m going to do is look up things to help me finish this essay quicker don’t lie to yourself we all know you will end up getting on every single social media site you have, and watch the same youtube video over and over. Anything but do the project you have to do. Damn wifi and the connection we share, it’s almost impossible to ignore it.

Near had just arrived at the house. Brand new. Five years old and spending nearly all his time with the staff. He was rarely seen, this new kid, always hovering behind closed doors as adults discussed things like: social phobia and acute anxiety.

Nearly a month after arriving, the boy was finally seen in the play area, the common room in the front of the house.

He looked more like a ghost than even the roomers had painted him. All white, from the top of his snowy curls to the bottom of his little socked feet. He was tiny- roughly the size and appearance of a three year old though the adults insisted he was five.

He sat, curled up in the left corner, playing with a raggedy stuffed rabbit and a brand new looking robot. And he spoke not a word to anyone.

Their Matt is very believable and isn't a flat character. They interact with plenty of people and have a unique relationship with each, making it interesting to read most of what they post.
