Throwback to #babygirlplay program 2013...the last time she was up and running...the first time with all the multi-media I originally conceived (during my days @howard1867 before I knew she would take over my life!!! Before @youtube existed!!!) A year later I completed @dorothyknows book*..and she turned 80.. Two years later we shot #thebaton which received a filmmaking award from the #aarp My first monetary award for my writing.. Three years later I started writing her #sequel #gooddaughterplay based on years of poetry and prose (venting) adapted from my writing on a document on my computer entitled Mother's Mind...it became a #newhumanitas finalist and I had my first pitch meeting.. A year later she got her 🕊 At the time of this photo (2013), she had been in California for two years and I could still take her out on my own. She was still walking and talking and able to attend all of my performances the way she always had.. #caregiver life wasn't easy but somehow I managed to eke out my creativity whenever I could..putting her story and her needs first. Mine were on backburner because I knew I'd still be here..
