{{My next book after re-reading The Kingdom of Back by Marie Liu, will probably be 'Season of the Witch' a deep dive into this old Tennessee legend of The Bell Witch folklore. I don't really believe in it myself, but, it gets the imagination going for writing. Hoping it'll be a good read.
I loved the new episode of the @bouletbrothers’ “#CreaturesoftheNight”! It was all #lateautumn themed with a review of both the original story and movie of “#ChildrenoftheCorn” and the folky true #horror tale of #TheBellWitch! I think the literary section was a huge success!! It was fun to sort of be a participant! I think you guys should totally cover “The Queen of the Damned” at some point! #bouletbrothers #swanthulaboulet #dracmordaboulet #iandevoglaer #screamkings #horrorhunks #queerhorror #gayhorror #lgbthorror #lgbt #horror #horrorgeek #november #autumn #autumnal #night #lateautumnnights #terrorverse (at North Providence, Rhode Island) https://www.instagram.com/p/CHzWVnonTEm/?igshid=1mqcva7sznvz1
Last night, @robinblackpiano and I attended #spirit , which is ending their sixth season performing and educating about the #bellwitch in Adams, TN. Our lovely friend and very talented @ann.street.kavanagh played Lucy Bell, who was the wife and mother of the John Bell, Sr family who was tormented by the Bell Witch in the late 1800's. This production and cast was MAGICAL to say the least, and we loved every minute of the show. Thank you to the cast and crew of Spirit, as well as their director, @thetravelingjoel for being so friendly after such a spooky performance!! #theatre #thebellwitch (at The Bell Witch Fall Festival) https://www.instagram.com/p/B4DuQXoFGIEe7qj2pqVpCr78ovVKqGPdru0qPQ0/?igshid=19819svw6ny69

Day 3 of Inktober- The Bell Witch. Not very creative this time.
A truly titillating evening at #Cryptease and #TheBellWitch herself showed up in the guise of @verababalon and y'all. Two drops of pee. Everyone was amazing. Pasties were popped. I am shook. (at Firehouse Theatre)
one of my dreams is to travel to Scotland and while there get the Scottish family's coat of arms tattooed on me - what should I look for in a tattoo artist, since I've never had one
You must be careful that the crest you choose is actually from your family line and not just name, because in Scotland it's actually punishable by law to wear the "wrong" crest.
First ask around to see if anyone you know has been to the shop you're wanting to go to. Did they have a good experience? Did their tattoo end up fading out or getting infected?
Look at your artist's portfolio of work. See if your artist is willing to work with you on size and price. They should fit the piece to the body part you want it on (scale and shape to the shape of your body). Most tattoos are priced by the hour (our going rate is $100 an hour) but the artist should have a reasonable ballpark idea of the time it will take to do your tattoo. Crests are labor-intensive due to fine work and having to change colors as they work. It took me about 2.5 hours to do the crest I did last night.
Look at the shop... is it clean? Ask to observe them giving a tattoo... do they use sterile equipment (one use or sterilized by steam or EO gas)? I would not use a shop that doesn't let you see the artist at work.
If you're unsure, see if you can leave your concept, have them work up a design and email or text it to you. Most shops will want a deposit for this, applicable to the tattoo if you have one, or it pays the artist for his/her time if you decide against.
Tattoos aren't always forever. Most can be covered or re-worked if they aren't satisfactory, unless the artist has scarred you. On the other hand, covers are expensive (not nearly as expensive as removal) so choose wisely. A well-done tattoo is a joy to wear and display for your lifetime!
