Happy #earthday everyone! 🌏 I wish I was celebrating with a beach day🏖, river adventure 🏞. Etc. 🎵Gonna put the world away for a minute Pretend I don't live in it Sunshine gonna wash my blues away🎵 🏖🌤🌈🧜‍♀️ I told you guys I wasn't finished with New Zealand photos so if you're bored at home during quarantine, I'll be going into some fun behind the photo explanations😜 This last mermaid shoot is from our coastal trip and more specifically from a beach called nugget point and is famous for the Nugget Point lighthouse (you'll see....youll see). This shoot was supposed to take place at sunrise again but that morning was foggy and rainy and we didnt dare leave the comfort of our van 🛌. By high noon it had cleared up but we had to get back on the road home to queenstown so we did what any seasoned mermaid would do.....we took photos at high noon 😎 (that's a little joke, you never want to take photos at high noon due to the harsh lighting and shadows the sun creates). I did my hair and makeup in the car again and used my reddish liquid lipstick to make my eyebrows match my wig a little more (makeup hack 💄) and went to work! This beach had really stunning tide pools, rocks, and other nice photo features that crested some really unique photo composure. For this one, @willieswings was up on top of a rock shooting slightly down to get my full tail in the tide pool 📸 . . . . . . . 1er décembre 2017  The Catlins

Un week-end de 3 jours s’annonce, je me décide donc de partir dans la région la plus au sud pour découvrir le parc des Catlins. Très connu pour ses paysages à couper le souffle, sa faune locale et ses campings pas chers.

Première étape la préparation de tout mon matériel camping, les courses et l’essence. Fin prête : c’est parti pour 3 heures de route jusqu’à Balclutha, la ville d’entrée du parc. De là je conduis encore 30 minutes sur la Southern Scenic Route qui longe la côte et les plages de sable blanc toutes plus belles les unes que les autres pour arriver à mon 1er arrêt : Nugget Point et son fameux phare. En sortant de la voiture le premier sens en éveil est mon odorat; enfin je sent l’odeur de la mer et celle du sel, je n’ai encore rien vue mais j’adore. Deuxième sens la vue, les 15 minutes à pied pour rejoindre le phare son grandioses, du haut des falaises on voit un océan aux eaux si transparentes que je serais tentée de me baigner. Les arbres et buissons qui poussent autour ont des nuances de vert assez incroyables et les bruits des vagues qui se fracasse contre les rochers plus ceux des nombreux oiseaux ayant élus domicile dans ce petit paradis viennent émerveiller mon ouïe.

Comme j’arrive au phare vers 18H30 la lumière est plus douce qu’en plein après-midi ce qui me permet de profiter un peu plus longtemps du point de vue sur les nuggets. Ces rochers sortis de l’eau suite à des tremblements de terre sont faits de strates que l’on aperçoit très clairement sur place. Malheureusement mes photos ne rendent pas vraiment justice à ce lieu si magique ! Prochaine étape à 3 minutes de route : la crique de Roaring Bay pour espérer voir les pingouins aux yeux jaunes.
