My advice is to act like you have the coronavirus if you feel the need to get tested then you obviously think that you’re pretty sick. What I would do is immediately wash yourself from head to toe make sure all your sheets in your bedroom are clean wash your hands wash your feet you everything that you do on a normal day to keep yourself clean course take showers change the sheets on your bed once a day. Most importantly immediately start self distancing yourselfAnd physical distancing and the most important thing is when you are in the room with anyone put a mask on and make sure they do you get to save themselves. Wk 35: Reopening Florida Phase One begins today, Monday, May 4th!

The world has been plagued with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida has issued a Phase One of reopening Florida that went into effect today.

Personal services, such as hair and nail salons, are still currently closed in this phase, as well as bars and gyms. The governor has speculated that he projects that the other phases are measured in weeks, rather than months.

Restaurants will start to open businesses, but indoor seating will reach at a capacity of 25%, as outdoor will be the same, as the tables and chairs are separated 6 feet away from each other, to follow the social distancing guidelines issued by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), the WHO (World Health Organization), and the Gov. DeSantis.

Playgrounds are still expected to remain closed, unless said otherwise by certain Florida counties. This is expected to be the new normal for a couple of weeks at the least, but it is still unknown when Phase Two will be upon us.

Through the Coronavirus

The more I reflect on where we are with the coronavirus, the more able to reconcile the reasons we got to this place, the more I shudder. We’ve not done ourselves any favours.

We must use this time in lock down to think about how we got to this place and must now change ourselves and our lifestyles. It’s not enough for us to think others will change therefore we don’t have to. We must all come through the coronavirus changed people, so future generations may have a life.

Global warming is our biggest threat. The use of our cars, how we can function in our homes better. We must start giving back. We must change our lifestyles because at the moment, we’re setting new generations up to fail, worse they may not even have their lives.

It is also important we use this time to think about the people who have selflessly given their lives to help save ours. We must think about the changes we need to make moving forward, so that we can make the natural world better.

I believe the lock down is continuing to give us time to reflect, for us to mentally and emotionally grow and to think about how we can change through the other end.

So, when you’re out in the grocery store think about whether you really need to fill your trolley. The more we are able to leave for others, we save another life. Please don’t fill your trolley for greed.

We must start thinking about others, particularly if their need is greater than ours, don’t forget to also think about yourself.

The Coronavirus & change

What would be the point of living a nightmare for months with something like the ‘Coronavirus’ and then not change anything through the other side? We must come through different people, we must change. It’s too big a catastrophe to ignore.

If like me, you believe things happen for a reason, then the Coronavirus is the reason. The universe is asking us to think about our planet, think about the world in the whole, the bigger picture, to think about change.  It is important we think about our lives and think about the changes we must make through the other end.

The universe is telling us we’re not getting this right. Through our lifestyles, the world pandemic is a problem we have created for ourselves.

It is telling us we’ve been selfish, arrogant, conceited and non-caring. It has pointed out our flaws through the process and is showing us our mistakes. It is highlighting the issues and telling us all we must now work together, and move forward.

The universe is making us accountable, it is pointing out our flaws, asking us to sort out the problems we’ve created. On our part, we must be responsible enough and accept we are responsible for this and change.

The Coronavirus

I should have put out a daily blog today, but this is more relevant now. Not having or being in control is scary in itself, therefore not being in control around the Coronavirus is very scary. Not being able to make conscious decisions about what and how we live our lives even more so.

It’s not a great scenario to have, or think about, but it does give us an opportunity to think about our lives and the way we get to live. The coronavirus is a wake- up call for us individually, for society and for the wider world. Not only is it shaping our world as we speak, but it is shaping our futures also.

It is also having a huge impact on businesses, and the economy, as bars, restaurants, gyms, coffee shops, pubs, retailers and hairdressers, have now all been told to close. It is affecting human society as a whole, but what about the environment and wildlife also… what effect is the coronavirus having on them?

Nothing and no one are is escaping the pandemic. It is affecting the natural world, with a potential huge impact on the countryside and its wildlife habitat. Chris Packham, a Naturalist, has welcomed a reduction in pollution through air travel being suspended and there being fewer cars on the road, but worried about climate change.

Fast forward and us coming through the pandemic, we mustn’t forget about the global issue of climate change. It must never be forgotten. We must change our world, change our attitudes, we must be and do things differently, and although we can’t reverse the damage that has already been done to the environment through global warming, we can change the way we do things from here.

We must start to think about the environment and the wider world and the way we live and change our lifestyles, once we’re through the other end. Not to means we have learned and changed nothing, we’re killing ourselves and killing our world.

We must also want to make a difference and think about our place in the world now as we’re dealing with the pandemic. The skies are recovering from less air travel, less cars on the road mean, less air pollution too, the air smells cleaner, better for us, better for wildlife, less asthma cases. We must change the way we air travel, but must also think about how we use our cars.

We mustn’t lose sight of what the coronavirus means and why we have it. We must think about life once we’re through the other end and must change, to become better people, be more selfless, empathetic, compassionate and caring.
