OMG you NEED to read it!! It's one of my absolute favourite book series. It's one of the best, if not THE example for children's books that are miles better than most adult novels. It's imaginative, doesn't assume its readers are stupid and it's highly critical of totalitarian and religious regimes. I love it and I love Lord Asriel (and I love James, duh), but I'm not sure if James is the right choice to play him. Which probably is what motivated him to do this anyway, that looking-for-a-challenge bastard. Dafne will be a magnificent Lyra though and I can see Miranda making Scoresby work, so I'm super excited that they're doing this.

No, but I did capoeira for 5 years(sport of African origin) and if is counts as sport, ballet(for 3 years).

I’ve found out that there are different versions and I sincerely hope that those people “grew up” with only the PG-version. I refuse to accept, that they’ve seen all of the messed up shit and still decided to love it.

YAY! Watch it. It’s not a great pick-me-up and very dark but it’s a beautiful movie and what Joy goes through is so heart-wrenching!

None. Like, at all.

He’s her exposition tool. It’s such a clunky script writing option. It might have looked good on paper, but with scenes taking up maybe a quarter of the movie in which the protagonist isn’t really decided on, this is ANNOYING.
