The Walking Fed II Phil and Tony
Phil crept into the warehouse as quickly and quietly as he could. While the last few years had been mostly spent hopping around the globe trying to stop alien and inhuman disasters, the new SHIELD, even with its reduced numbers, still had to keep good old fashioned terrorists on it’s radar.
Today’s batch were certainly old fashioned (if their security measures were anything to go by), but far from good. More than anything, they were in over their heads. A small group of home grown extremists, discontent with the “decline of America” had gotten their hands on some Stark weapons and decided to store them in a warehouse in Jersey. An old cover of Phil’s had made contact with the group in it’s infancy and had been welcomed back with open arms. That earned him the location of the weapons cache. Getting inside? That was the fun part.
“Probably wont be on the Christmas card list after this...” He muttered, shooting his cuffs and smoothing the front of his jacket as he recognized the guard he’d just knocked out.
You know you gotta help me out. || Tony & Peter.
Stealth was one of Peters specialities. It came with having spider powers and years of practice sneaking in and out of his Aunts house after curfew. Usually, it was used to get the drop on the bad guys but it also came in handy when wanting to sneak up on friends. Or partners. Colleagues? Whatever Tony Stark would mark their relationship down as. Spider-man often showed up to the tower unprompted and uninvited. Sure, he could call before hand if he needed Tony's help, but that would take all the fun out of this. Peter was perched on the lab ceiling and had been for a good minute, making sure Tony was unaware of presence completely while he made his way across the ceiling silently. Never mind it looked like Tony was working on something that was probably important, the jump scare tactic was satisfying no matter what the consequence. However, in the process of climbing across to achieve his goal, The familiar voice of the towers A.I rang out. "Mr.Stark, Spider-man is here to see you." Peter gave an over dramatic sigh from the ceiling. "F.R.I.D.A.Y," He started, dropping down. "I thought we went over what surprises were." So much for hearing Tony scream like a little girl.
Trial and Error II Clint and Tony
Clint was on the range at Stark Tower, willing the place to feel as familiar as the one at SHIELD, the one that he no longer had access too, as SHIELD technically no longer existed. The one he knew he needed to just get over, but sometimes letting the past go is hard.
He had gotten used to the feel of the place. Sure, he has a place that feels like home now, his apartment in Bed- Sty, but he’s used to working someplace that feels safe and for some reason the tower just isn’t it. Not yet at least.
He draws, aims and releases again, wondering if he should move this up to the training room where he can have moving targets but then he hears a sound behind him.
Belated reunion || Cassie & Tony
Weeks had passed - Weeks! - since the younger (and better) Lang had made the journey from Miami back to her true home of New York. It had been covered time and time again that what she had missed most was the faces of the family and friends she’s made in this city.
While she had managed to see just about all of them again, one person still seemed to evade her.
Which would be none other than the world renowned Tony Stark. Much like with Clint, she felt a strong enough relationship with the man to even refer to him as an uncle. The avengers tower had been her home once a week every month before she had moved down south and while she visited, several of the other heros had seemed to deem Cassie precious (or sassy) enough to enjoy her company even without her father around.
The fact it seemed she had kept missing one of the faces shed missed the most over the course of her time away not only upset her- but also made her angry! Why hadn’t he come to see her yet?! Why was she always missing him?
So, when Cassie found Tony (Finally!) by happenstance in one of the communal rooms in the tower.
It wasn’t a smile she greeted him with, no, she stood there, tapping her foot. The scowl on her face one only a teenage girl could muster up. She didn’t say anything and just waited for him to take notice of her presence.
It’s awkward, to come back and feel like an asshole because he hasn’t contacted Tony in weeks. There were a few messages, an ‘I’m alive. -BB’ every now and then, when he could spare the time. Now, though, to be able to spend a lot more time with his friend after vanishing... It worries him, obviously.
His area of the lab is still the same, but he’s barely been down there. There’s been debriefings, meetings with officials, meetings with Fury, meetings with some of the newer Avengers members. Somehow, he’s accidentally avoided Tony.
But he can see him now, bent over a desk and bobbing his head to music. Bruce makes his way over slowly, peering over Tony’s shoulder casually and bumping against his side. “I may need new glasses, because I can’t see what you’re doing at all. I think it’s the old age. We should ask one of the new kids if they can fix my eyes,” he murmured, absent and awkward as he tried to give Tony a friendly smile.
