Put a symbol in my ask for a character that...
☀ - my muse refuses to talk about
Once in their second incarnation, Zagreus, then known as Ailla, was sent to spy on a Timelord by the name of Koschei. While Koschei was unaware that his new companion wasn’t human, but a Timelady, the two fell in love. All was fine, but when Ailla was lethally wounded, Koschei couldn’t bear to lose his lover and committed genocide to bring her back. The mass murder was in vain, since Ailla had the powers to regenerate all along. Even centuries after the incident, Ailla still feels responsible for the genocide and for turning Koschei into the Master, but is mostly haunted by their own betrayal. Not once would Ailla or Zagreus dare talk about the one they loved and betrayed cruelly.
☢ - my muse cannot stand being around
Since Zagreus has anti-time pumping through his veins he reacts quite extreme to anyone closely attached to time. So it is no wonder that he is quite reluctant of entering a Tardis, but meeting a sentient one is even worse. Aethena tops it all with her additional do-gooder attitude, but sadly Nicole (or the Siren) and her do come in pairs. So if he has to be around Aethena, he’d use any opportunity to be mean to her.
? - always manages to confuse my muse
Zagreus is confused by next to nothing, but his children mark a great exception. While Amentia, his daughter with the Siren, was an unpredictable miracle and practically should not even exist, his loom-son Torvic manages to confuse him with the numerous different versions he had encountered. When Zagreus first met a Torvic, they were still known as the Timelady Ailla and Torvic referred to himself as the Harrier. It was in this very same incarnation that the both of them, the Harrier and Ailla, encountered Lord Rassilon and his stalwart Torvic Prydonius. Zagreus in his current incarnation met with a third version of Torvic who was the sole survivor of a burned up universe.
◎ - makes my muse feel empty when around them
Once Zagreus had to learn of the Siren’s tragic demise he sought solace with her previous incarnations, but sticking around Nicole did him good only temporally. Staying with her for a longer period was nigh impossible without feeling the void in his hearts. Meeting with any of Nicole’s incarnations that came after her tenure as the Siren is just plain torture.
☓ - has scarred my muse in some way ( physically, mentally, emotionally, etc )
Though there are many applicants, only one qualifies to earn the title: the Harrier. Ailla and him likely had the rockiest of all relationships, with attempts to kill each other on several occasions, just to mention one of their malicious habits. While Ailla was strangely and tragically in love with the other, he certainly did not reciprocate her feelings and began to exploit her absolute devotion. While the cruelty wasn’t exactly one-sided, Ailla was still left physically and emotionally abused and if it hadn’t been for the Harrier, Zagreus would never have come to life.
