I Don’t Want To Live in The Moment (theheartsofheroes)
The latest ghost Angela had caught wasn’t dangerous, just unusual in the grand scheme of things. No other ghost she had fought had the power to freeze time around it. Thankfully, her Eyecons were from different eras, so she managed to overpower and contain the ghost.
There are a lot of very powerful ghosts in the containment grid, and they wouldn’t take too kindly to some minor specter locking them in place, so Angela had set the trap to expel the ghost into a small containment unit.
She had been expecting some resistance. Most ghosts try to fight out of containment. She hadn’t been expecting a spontaneous rematerialization.
What had once been a ghost was now a very scared teenage girl in mostly shredded clothing. After taking a brief moment to calm down the girl, Angela had brought the girl upstairs to get her a shower and some old clothes that Angela was always intending to donate.
As the girl took the shower, Angela got a good look at the item the girl had had with her when she reappeared and her eyes went wide.
She has to call someone specializing in this particular relic. No, not a relic. An Object of Power. She checks the time. It would be 9 PM in California. It’s good enough.
As soon as the person on the other end picks up, Angela starts. “Abby? This is Angela Zeddemore in Tokyo. I’ve just come across something you should see, and someone you should meet. One second.” She takes a picture with her phone and sends it.
“I’ve got to warn you, the person this came with isn’t who you’d expect. Can you come to see?”
