My The Human Beings project that began in the summer with Catrin’s original brief continues into its second, ever more versatile year and phase with these two new images triggered by the Zeitgeist brief. 

“Get out of my way or follow it” seems to express the prevailing atmosphere of express repression. Everywhere we are being pressured to get out of the way or follow it: Brexicide, Wall-Mart. 

“Real radicalisation” (which can usefully be reworded to in a number of ways) responds to the one of the mots du jour we are now plagued with: radicalisation”.I was given to a reflection on this word, one that has - as with so many these days - been devalued and made mediocre with repetition. What is real radicalisation? It must be going beyond imaginings of separation and identity, beyond the illusion of birth and death, personality and individuality: to make that breakthrough would be utterly radical. Not the milquetoast mush it has now been associated with as a kind of mindless meme bandied about, figuratively, right, left and centre, to suit one agenda or another.
