Drowned God's Offering | Tyrion & Victarion
Victarion retreated to his cabin whenever he could since they had anchored outside of the Isle of Cedars, for it was the only place where the air was cool. He grew aggravated with the sweltering heat, the unwelcome monkeys that pelted his ship with their ship, and the damnable throbbing of his hand. The Drowned God disdains this place, he had decided after one full day at its shore, he swallowed its people whole in his wroth.
His dusky woman had just finished wrapping a fresh set of bandages around his shield hand when Longwater Pyke entered his chambers. "Cap'n Sparr has come aboard, Lord Cap'n," he informed dutifully, "he says he has news, a wizard, and a dwarf." Victarion snorted despite himself. That sounds like some fable from the greenlands. "It is good to know that the Vole made it through the storm," he replied, "tell him that I shall meet with him shortly."
He had taken a long swig of the cool wine that he kept to himself before facing the blazing high-noon sun that cast its angry rays over the Gulf of Grief. Waiting on deck was the short captain of Grief, with a retinue of his crewmen. He could see the men carrying two heavy sets of iron chains, but of the fettered men, he could only make out the one that he could only assume to be the wizard: he was of monstrous size, with a charred black face and a wild mane of sunbleached white hair. Victarion could not look away from his odious tattoos; fiery marks of a slave. "Lord Captain," he hailed, "I have been granted two boons from the Drowned God." The kraken scoffed at that. "I can hardly see how your prisoners are of use to us." The Vole's face remained as plain as it had ever been. "The wizard hear claims to know things. Claims to know how to heal your hand." That made the Greyjoy frown, for he had told no one of his wound., but Rodrik Sparr was not finished speaking. "And the dwarf..." He stepped aside so that Victarion could see. This one looks familiar, Victarion thought. Never had he met the man that stood before him, but his reputation was well enough known throughout the Seven Kingdoms. He smiled. "The Imp of Lannister," he said, almost amusedly, "why has the Drowned God brought you to my fleet, then?"

"Excuse me, Ser--the brothel is two lots down. You may have as much wine and ale as you wish, but do refrain from propositioning the girls. Especially the married ones."
She paused, arching a brow.
"You do look familiar--do I know you?"

Joy glanced up from the map she was looking at when she heard footsteps, knowing she'd been caught out. Though it was a relief to see Tyrion; when he was at the Rock he haunted the library as well, after all. "I thought you were in the capital?" she asked, tilting her head slightly.

what a pair we make
King's Landing in the fall was always something to behold. This autumn, however, found Cersei disinterested in the changing hue or the threat of a coming winter. Pregnant and feeling uncomfortable in her own skin -- which was not helped by the King's constant comparison of her body to a misshaped gourd. There were times she wanted to pluck his chin hairs out, one by one, while he slept.
With one hand braced against the small of her back and the other on the swell of her stomach, she entered the Great Hall looking for the King, but found instead, the Imp.
"Don't you have a skirt or two to look up? Why are you lingering here?"
