the day he left

he told me that i deserved

Fight to correct the internal subconscious conditioned biases imposed by society. Everyone has biases of some kind. But check your reactions to things and question why they are what they are. Think. It starts with each of us.

School is out, so I'm returning to my retail job tomorrow and trying really hard to be positive about it. If you also work retail, I hope your day goes by quickly and easily, and that you have nice amiable customers and that it's busy enough that time passes but not so busy that it's chaotic, and your breaks feel refreshing (and happen on time!) and that you actually have a chance to sit down and give your feet & back a rest. Remember, you are more than just a nametag or just another gear in the corporate machine. The money you are earning will help you pay not only to survive but, hopefully, to live the life you dream of. Little steps, day by day.
