WIP Wednesday

Here’s a little section from a Susanna & Elisha love scene I started yesterday! It’s set when they reunite after one of his first cruises:

She was still on her tiptoes as she buried her face in his neck, the warm, thick wool cape on her cheek. She inhaled his scent, feeling a little bit wild. “You still smell of the sea,” she spoke directly into his ear.

“Is that so bothersome?”

Susanna didn’t change her position. “No.”

Elisha laughed. “Whatever you say, my dear girl.” He kissed the top of her head, and she suddenly worried that she’d fall onto the floor, out of his arms, a death by tenderness.
