I was wondering how I can copy the eminence ability when its in the command zone. If there is a way. Or would they have to be on the field?

Arahbo, Edgar, and Inalla all have eminence abilities that are triggers, so they can be copied with Strionic Resonator.

The Ur-Dragon’s eminence ability is just a static ability, so there’s no way to copy it without something becoming a copy of the Ur-Dragon.

So I bought that mono blue starter deck from oath and in it is Wastes and an Evolving Wilds, can I EW for an Waste?

Yes. Wastes is a basic land and can be found by Evolving Wilds.

Regarding your anon question about lord and oracle text, is it implied that lord of Atlantis is a merfolk and gains benefits of merfolk abilities such as islandwalk and +1\+1 from other merfolk creatures? So lord is just a replacement and is updated to the correct creature type?

All cards are considered to have their oracle text printed on them. This means that older printings of card will sometimes not match the cards current types or functionality.

Can I regenerate a creature after I sacrifice it? I.e. I block with kin tree warden, sacrifice him with disciple of griselbrand then use his regenerate to gain him back?

Regeneration doesn’t work this way. Regeneration allows a creature that would be destroyed to stay on the battlefield, but it doesn’t bring that creature back to the battlefield from the graveyard.

Regeneration is an effect that can replace destruction, and a creature is only ever destroyed if it receives lethal damage or an effect specifically destroys it. Regeneration can’t replace a creature going to the graveyard because it has 0 toughness or was sacrificed.

Thanks for answering my question! One more for pre release though. Do we still get promo cards and I heard something about deck boxes what are those made out of?

Any time!

You do still get promo cards. Each box comes with a spindown life counter (as is normal for this kind of thing) and a random promo stamped with the prerelease dates (just like the ones that came in the Khans of Tarkir prerelease boxes.)

The deckboxes are Hedron themed boxes, but I’m not sure what exactly they’ll be made of. Apparently, though, they will be more durable so that players can reuse them.

Do you know how they are doing the colors for pre release? Is it you pick one color or its it double colors or triple. I hope mono for the sake of old times been awhile since a prelease had mono

They are not doing colors this time. Everyone will get six BFZ booster packs and no seeded color pack. I believe Wizards has said that they are no longer doing seeded colors packs for the prereleases due to them being unpopular.

Do you get paid to be a judge?

Judges receive compensation to judge at larger events, yes, but it’s usually in the form of Magic product (booster boxes or store credit). Occasionally, there’s some amount of cash included to help offset travel and hotel costs, but this is only for bigger events like GPs.

So in a recent picture of our beloved heroes bonding and destroying the Eldrazi. Does the picture with Sorin and Nissa foreshadow a love interest?

I hope not. The last person Sorin was close to being even friends with, Nihiri, has been missing for a couple hundred years. The current fan theory is that he turned her into Avacyn.... So maybe people getting close to Sorin is a bad idea?
