I’m at the point now where I think Harry (or Jeff?) is selecting the photos for his social media. I’m sure Helene is curating like a dozen from each night for him to choose (during his flights or treadmill run or whatever). But it’s think he’s picked the final shot to post. She’s giving him some weird options (clearly) and not the “clean” shots that we think are obvious. The photography has actually, on average, gotten less clean as the tour has gone on. I say clean as the least judgmental 1/2

way of describing this form of tour photography. As if the right look has been established between Harry & Helene. I should mention that Helene was working the huge SLR camera: standing, squatting, laying on the ground next to me at the Seattle show to get those shots(I was behind the pit, on the barricade). So it’s truly a mystery how that one was selected. That’s why I surmise Harry is dictating the aesthetic & the ultimate posting. Because she took tons of photos. (Also she is very tiny.)2/2

Yeah, she’s only 5′ tall. Which is probably why 90% of the shots are looking up his nose. And I agree with you, he most likely has given her the aesthetic he wants, it’s been agreed upon by his team, she’s giving him/them a small selection, and then someone makes a final choice. Maybe that someone is Harry. I don’t know. Regardless, I think her photos are lousy more often than not. I think they do him and his tour a real disservice. 

It’s clear they’re not interested in pristine photos, which is totally fine. I would LOVE if we were getting really gritty 70′s style aesthetic photos. But other than his hair or his attire, that’s not what his shows are like and not what her photos are capturing. Regardless of what aesthetic she’s attempting, they’re BAD photos IMO. I’m bored of repeating myself about why I think they’re bad, so I won’t. You can just scroll through my tour photography tag if you want.
