If so, what books have you read more than once? 🍂 I love rereading books. I have a few favorites that I reread every year. *The Night Circus* is one that I read every fall. I’m planning to finish my reread of it today. 🥰 I also sometimes reread books if a new book is coming out in a series. The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night.

Okay, so mine is that the Night Circus is… meh. 😬 The writing itself is really nice, but sometimes it would go on and on and distract me so much from the story? 😅 I just ended up wrestling through the whole book. A loooot of people have read the Night Circus and said they love it though. I love darkly atmospheric #circusbooks and #carnivalbooks! So much so, that in my upcoming #yafantasy, #Mystiquiel, there's a #creepy #carnival that plays a role in my MC's adventure within a world of #goblins and #faeries. However, the carnival is a small part of the story. I do have a couple of ideas for #circus-themed novels somewhere down the road, where the entire story will take place inside a magical setting of dangerous games, cryptic riddles, and menacing performers. 🖤 🎪 However, out of the books pictured here, the wonderfully magical #Caraval is the only title I've had a chance to read so far. I have a #beautiful hardback of #TheNightCircus on my shelf but it’s difficult for me to read hard copies due to my daily routine of tending house and the business of writing. My only chance is at night when I snuggle under the covers on my kindle while my husband's asleep. So, unless it’s loaded onto my e-reader, I have to wait for vacation time. 😂 🖤 🤡 Although they’re not pictured, “Water for Elephants” by #SaraGruen and “The Museum of Extraordinary Things” by #AliceHoffman were two of my favorite (albeit heartbreaking) literary circus/carnival reads back in 2011 and 2013. And I've recently added another interesting one to my TBR called "The Circus at the End of the Sea" by Lori Snyder (it launches from Harper Collins in fall 2021 so there's no cover yet). It’s such a cool title and I can’t wait to see what it’s all about! 🖤 ✨ Have you read any of the books in this post?
