Hey there! 

1. Travel anywhere, where would it be?

I love to travel, so I’m good with just about anywhere, but I’d have to say Egypt. It’s always been at the very top of my list. 

3. Bring anyone dead back to life, who would it be?

JRR Tolkien. I would want to sit and have tea with him and just chat. I love his works, and I’d love to be able to thank him because I know his writings saved my life and the lives of a lot of my friends.

7. Have any superpower what would it be?

Teleportation. I’m lazy and I hate how long traveling by normal means takes, so it seems like a really logical choice for me. 

12. Eliminate one of your human needs which would you get rid of?

Probably hunger. I enjoy food, so I’d still want to be able to eat and enjoy food, but it’d be nice to not have to eat. 

24. Have anything appear in your pocket right now, what would it be?

A working TARDIS

25. Have anyone beside you right now, who would it be?

My best friend capaldiseyebrowsshipdestiel. But only if she gets to stay. I’d always rather have her here with me instead of across the country.

pretty much, dude. i want to be like all the good teachers i had at both schools, like the teacher that recognised that what was wrong with me was depression, or my drama teacher who was that great mixture of funny and fun but also taught really great things, or like Mr Burns was where he was just so passionate and cool about history. like, i just wanna help kids learn things and be nice and everything that my teachers were.

the professor that gave the education talk at the UofA Open Day was just so passionate about teaching and working with kids, i honestly walked out of the talk thinking ‘holy shit let me do this!’.

<3 i’m so excited to learn new things! the last year and a half on my first degree was fun, but it’s not something i could ever see myself turning into a career, so i’m real pumped about going back to my original higher-education plan was before I started trying art on for size

Oh my gosh, 100% agree! It was so hard to read I decided to read everything that I dropped and actually finished them before this book. I’m kinda sad :(

I still have some positive feelings for this book because I PERSEVERED, but I’ll admit that I leavened it a bit by reading a somewhat-dense science nonfiction book (which I’m still on, it’s that dense) and the beginning of Lies of Locke Lamora ^^;. But urgh, yeah, it was pretty disappointing. Milán’s writing is just so frustrating and his world-building--what world-building he just copy-pastad from history and changed the names around a bit! 

*sighs*

Seriously though, I wish he’d done a better job with this because I actually really like the characters. Like, seriously, Melodia and Jaume deserve better than this :|.

There's actually a buuuunch of different variations on star lamps/projectors similar to the one mentioned in the story.  The one I described specifically...I can't seem to find anymore?  I know it existed, dryadalis can back me up on this, but I lost the link.  But it was also upwards of a thousand dollars, so not something I'd be buying any time real soon anyway.

There's much cheaper alternatives to be found.
