I have the feeling that Steve would hear about that musical, and come out of hiding OUTRAGED. He would do a press conference hand in hand with Bucky to condemn the creators' homophobia, how they took their love story ('our fucking life story', he'd say, and he would swear) and twisted it to pursue the ever present heteronormative agenda. Not to mention the disrespect it shows towards everyone involved.

They would announce protests, immediate legal actions, and that all the money they'll get when they win (because they will) would be donated to organizations fighting homophobia.

After questions are over, they would make out before the press, and leave the room to go to Pride and display all the PDAs they can think of to start reclaiming their story.
