RIP Fred Parker aka Chocolate Santa. 🖤 I’m so glad he was able to make it to the last Painting With a Purpose with @kiwanis club of New Orleans and @bgc_sela, an annual event where we paint ceiling tiles to decorate the children’s hospital. He had such a good time that he continuously talked about it afterwards. This year, I created 13 new original illustrations for the project. Here he is painting a cute bear playing the banjo! He truly had a good heart, and was always looking out for his community. When I said Santa knows where I sleep, I wasn’t kidding. He was also my next door neighbor and always a friendly face. I am lucky to have known him.
