The Reeds formed from the ashes of Northampton, UK indie band 'Spin' in 2012 and consists of three multi-instrumentalists who share a love of classic songwriting and emotion-led songs.
All of the members have other current gigging bands such as The Tickets, Similar Jones, Pure Genius and the Grateful Dudes, so initially, the Reeds put together the 2013 album 'Let This Begin' purely as a recording side project. Having spent the last year recording the follow-up, the Reeds are now looking to put together a live outfit to promote 'Another Place', their second album. All of the music was written, performed, recorded and produced by the Reeds themselves, and all three members contributed at all stages of the process, leading to a collaboration in the truest sense of the word. Influences include The Beatles, REM, Radiohead, Blur, Turn Brakes and so many more.
The music portrays a range of positive and negative emotions and retains a pop sensibility, so is accessible to the first time listener yet has sufficient depth to warrant repeated plays.
