So yeah, RWBY post. Let me just gush over character design, because that is so fucking good in this. All of it, just good. One of the benefits to the animation style used from what I’ve noticed from RWBY a little but mainly The Dragon Prince. The character designs, the outfits, everything can get more complex. Now, of course before this style, there was and still is complex character designs, but not so much of it, since hand-drawn stuff is harder to detail.
Shadows work really well, I have to admit I’m a sucker for natural shadows as well as dramatic shadows. but just, the shading is much more natural and just fits, whereas in traditionally animated shows, the shadows tend to have the dramatic effect more, and a little bit of the natural shadow. Not going to complain, dramatic shadows can be great as well.
I'm yelling these finalist designs are so good, I love the fact that their lore is Amdapori ahhhhhhhhh BASICALLY THESE DESIGNS ARE GREAT AND I WANT THEM TO WIN SO BADLY NOW.
