Even though we’re wrong like 95% of the time about what Sam planned, it’s still fun to try to figure out. And I see, you’re only in it for barbaricat. Who is currently snoozing after his forced cuddlings, he was not happy about those lol

There was a moment when I actually thought my character might die, and, like, taking a final (a final for a class I don’t like very much at that) after that is not a thing I could handle, so thank goodness for healing potions.

#thetomatowriter #listen there's nothing more terrifying than being the party's main healer and a character who kind of focuses on buffs/damage redirection #and just winding up backed into a corner stuck in darkness and down 2 ac briefly unconscious #the dm expected us to go at things tactically but lol nope we went in a side entrance and then someone cast darkness #now we just have to do at least two more battles down most of our healing and with me down 2 ac #i love dying and being dead #d&d tag

my friend, you have come to the right place. bartimaeus is the anti-hp. everything that exists in the hp universe (simple moral dichotomies, magical child prodigies, werewolves in hiding, questionably vague political systems) is fully fleshed out in bartimaeus*. there’s also no discourse in the bart fandom because everyone agrees it’s a great series with great characters who all did wrong and all did good.

*up to and including respectful treatment of indigenous/cultural magical systems.
