𝚘𝚏 𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝚗𝚊𝚛𝚊𝚔𝚞'𝚜 incarnations, hakudōshi was the one that struck the deepest nerve with her. he and his other half had laid on her chest and nearly corrupted her. he knew her fears. he knew her insecurities. he knew things about her she’d rather bury, but couldn’t. the graveyard soil of her shame was still caught beneath her fingernails.

he unnerved her, but kagome stood before him, head tilted in defiance all the same.

Kagura eyes flew open, shifting uncomfortably in the tree she’d perched in when the scent caught her on the wind. ‘No, it couldn’t be!’ In a moment she was off on a wind, following the scent all while being terrified about what she might find on the other end of this trail. It didn’t take her long in her spirit form to track down the source and, against her better judgement she materialized in front of a familiar face.

“I’m sorry but did you drop this?” Rinko asked shyly as she held out a small pouch to the boy.  He looked maybe a little younger then her? Or maybe he just hadn’t hit his growth spurt yet? But he reminded her a little of her little brother and so she couldn’t help but smile brightly at him.

“Are those marbles? My brothers used to play that all the time.” Was she talking to a complete stranger like an old friend? Yeah. Was this new? Unfortunatly, not.

There were days where the other would get on her nerves and then there were days like these, when she would just sit back and carefully watch as Hakudōshi handles their business with that peculiar demeanor of his. These days were fun.

      “ Don’t make me laugh now. You couldn’t be nice,          even if for some wicked reason you tried. “

       Crimson orbs shifted to look at the bleeding body of a priest before them, the sheer determination in his eyes didn’t seem to falter although he was barely breathing at this point. Foolish human.
