Review of “The Whole Thing: The Story of the Bible Through Six Images” by Jason English
I got this book with only a mild nterest in it. But “It’s short,” I thought, “if I don’t like it, it won’t take up a lot of my time.” Instead, I found it to be one of the most creative and interactive books I have ever read. You can’t just read this book; you must participate in it. (I’m sorry; I can’t explain more without spoiling it for you.)
The book looks at the Bible as if it were a body. Each section of the Bible is a specific part of the body----a hand, a foot, a face, etc. And, as I said, you must participate in this book, just like you must exercise your body.
I recommend this book. It’s an easy read, but emotionally moving. It’s short, but you’ll want to take your time with it as you want to get as much from it as you can.
