HUSTLE HOME: DREAMER
Hard times where the life I pursue is in pursuit of those born with a silver spoon, but I continue to dream the more I dig deep into my pockets.
Hands tucked in empty pouches rubbing up and down against my skin, I feel reality sink in the more I try claw my way out of this predicament. Scraping whatever remains at the bottom of my pockets to the point where I have poked a few holes in an endeavor to shadow my end goal. Indebted myself in an attempt to patch the gaps I’ve created and enable me to sweep the dust from my dream.
Passionate about my struggle I smile at the thought of working hard to fill my pants, stretching the little I have to maintain the stitches of money borrowings.
Hardships of life sometimes force my hands to weigh survival over my dream, in those moments I squeeze my eyes tight as I flex my mind. In my experience ideas come to light those dark times. By all means I endure running uphill sweating it out till the next person can see me crawling on my knees. So long as I have the energy to move forward, onward my right will be followed by my left.
Working towards what awaits me at the opposite side as I continue to climb, I keep my head held high. With the following thoughts in mind, -‘Push your limits; Too many people allow their dreams to rest in the sky; you must climb; Breathe life into your dreams; Your actions will determine the quality of life you wish to keep’.
Now standing at the peak establishing that you refused defeat. There is no better feeling than walking gracefully downhill, reflecting on what you have achieved.
I pulled out my empty pockets acknowledging that I held value from the inside out.
