Original Anon here, but with the Ghost Kaeya!MC idea I can see him leaving a few hours before Traveler wakes up, finding them, and then being SHOCKED when the Traveler wakes up, stares at them, and asks 'Are you ok?! You're bleeding a lot!'
Kaeya!MC of course responds with 'You can see me!' which leads to Traveler being even more confused but nodding. Kaeya!MC just says that no one can see them, so they tell Traveler to treat them as a sentient imaginary friend.
Traveler is confused but agrees, and later when Paimon is fished out of the water it's revealed she can ALSO see Kaeya!MC!!! This is so confusing but once more Kaeya!MC tells her to treat them like a sentient imaginary friend.
She is very worried, so is Traveler, but the three get close and Kaeya!MC just tells them about people from Mondstat and the current crisis it's in.
The two are confused when Amber can't see Kaeya!MC before remembering that Kaeya!MC said no one could see them, only Paimon and Traveler.
Diluc meanwhile is for some reason VERY twitchy because something feels wrong and he feels colder than normal and Crepus is also twitchy (they got really used to Kaeya!MC's prescience unknowingly and without it they are getting twitchy).
Kaeya!MC helps the two and comforts them both.
The confrontation with the four winds temples is different obviously and the temple they would go in with alive Kaeya, they are now accompanied by dead Kaeya!MC. When the entire confrontation with Dvalin happens, they are right there with them freezing/making the air blasts VERY cold and they had ice shards that were VERY sharp. When Dvalin is purified Kaeya!MC feels like they could cry in happiness because finally, Dvalin's soul is no longer screaming in pain. Dvalin can sorta sense Kaeya!MC and asks 'Why does the child weep?' Venti of course is confused and says there is no child crying but Dvalin growls and says 'Why does the child on my back, with frozen blood and star filled eyes weep!'
Kaeya!MC just presses their hands to Dvalin's back and asks the dragon to calm, that he is ok, that he's accepted his fate. To Dvalin Kaeya is a spirit, a wisp, with hard to see features. To Traveler + Paimon, Kaeya!MC looks like an actual person/alive/just as they did in their death.
Kaeya!MC adventures with Traveler and Paimon, the two being the only ones to TRULY see them.
Diluc and Crepus are getting increasingly twitchy.
Kaeya!MC is more often than not glued to Traveler and Paimon's side, and their 'dead' vision... yea that thing, well in death Kaeya!MC is able to use the element of ice, cold, cryo, snow, etc. etc. to its FULLEST potential. More often than not they help Traveler's attacks be even stronger.
Kaeya!MC will miss Diluc and Crepus but... at least now they are not burdening the two with their dead ghost... They refuse to leave Traveler + Paimon, even made Paimon a knife made out of ice, it's not cold, but the blade is VERY sharp, and it will never break, and Paimon hugged Kaeya!MC as best she could considering everything. Kaeya!MC had seen how Paimon was feeling a bit useless, a bit sad that she couldn't fight, so they gave a knife, not only so she can feel like she's actually doing something, but also so she can protect herself.
Kaeya!MC is happy and once called Traveler Traveler and Paimon sis(ter) which made the Traveler and Paimon cry and caused Kaeya!MC to panic and all the bad thoughts to come back before the two explained they were HAPPY tears.
The three ventured to Dvalin once, and the dragon was very frantic over Kaeya!MC, panicking, because the child was a child and oh gods they had so much red on them, why can't he smell them, why can't he see them properly. Kaeya!MC was about to cry again because they felt like they didn't deserve all this worry but they managed to explain that they were fine, they weren't going to die (you can't die when you're already dead), and that no one but Traveler + Paimon could actually truly see them, Dvalin can sense them but that's it/sorta see them.
Traveler and Paimon don't know Kaeya!MC is dead, and they want to keep it that way, and the two also don't know that Kaeya!MC is the little sibling of Diluc and the child of Crepus. Once again, Kaeya!MC will not be telling them that.
Now off to Liyue they go!
Oh thank goodness for some small mercies! At least Traveler, Paimon, and even Dvalin can see ot at least sense Ghost Kaeya!MC!
Makes things less lonely for them... but absolutely does not fix the core issue.
Ghost Kaeya was still that. A ghost. Dead. And their family was absolutely miserable without them...
Maybe, just maybe... traveling with the Traveler will either help Ghost Kaeya!MC come back to life, or maybe he could even eventually move on...
Maybe he would be even able to talk to Crepus and Diluc one day...
But for now? On to Liyue! ...Do you think they will find more people that will be able to see Kaeya!MC? Hu tao is a definite, maybe Qiqi? Or what about Xiao?
