I like the forest creatures, but given a choice, I’d rather see deer and foxes.  😑

They’re Inside will be released on Blu-ray and VOD on July 16 via Dread. The found footage home invasion movie is described as Funny Games meets The Strangers.

From the producers of To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story, the film marks the directorial debut of John-Paul Panelli. Karli Hall, Amanda Kathleen Ward, Jake Ferree, Sascha Ghafoor, Chelsea D. Miller, Alex Rinehart, and Matthew Peschio star.

Special features have not yet been revealed, but watch the teaser trailer below.

When two sisters go to an isolated cabin in the woods to film a passion project, family secrets start to get in the way… as do masked strangers filming a passion project of their own.

Tonight’s offering of low-budget free horror: They’re Inside (2019, dir. John-Paul Panelli, wri. Panelli, Schuyler Brumley)

Summary: two sisters go to a remote cabin to shoot the eldest’s passion project when she wins an essay contest  where strange sounds in the night prelude a violent night with masked killers.

The Strangers meets found footage, strong performances don’t save stupid characters and lame effects. I’d rather watch the family-drama B-plot play out than the lame half-baked slasher horror on display. Nicer full review from TheBloggingBanshee
