The Bruce to Dick to Tim line of relationships is something I have such an insane obsession over for a lot of reasons but one of them is how each one has had a fundamentally changed experience due to whoever came before being in their life.

Dick is on some level fundamentally different from Bruce because he had Bruce in his life. Because Bruce gave him something that Bruce himself never had.

And Tim is similarly fundamentally different from Dick because he didn't just have Bruce but also had Dick.

Their experiences are each different from each other at least in part because they were each shaped by each other.

Starting from Bruce who was so emotionally isolated and not granted the power to change things as early as he needed it.
