Make up I wear & beauty products I use:
Make up:
Skin:
MAC Studio Fixx Fluid in NW30
I feel this foundation has a good medium coverage and is buildable if I want a full coverage. It applies well, has a matt finish and lasts for the day. It doesn't look too 'cakey' - this is definitely the best foundation I've tried and is good value for the quality.
MAC Skinfinish Natural in 'Give me Sun'
Best power I've used by far. Lovely natural finish.
Cheeks:
Mac blush - Sweet as Cocoa (really dark bronze)
Mac blush - Breezey (muted shimmery pink) Topshop cheek highlighter stick - Prism Benefit highbeam highlighter (I also use these on my brow bone)
Eyes:
Some of my favourite palettes and shades are these. Most of my eye shadows are neutral colours, browns and gold's.
Too Faced - Natural Eye Palette Urban Decay - Naked Palette MAC shadows - Satin Taupe, Twinks, Coppering, Bronze, Sable
MAC Fluidline Gel Liner - Blacktrack
Maybelline Gel Liner - great value for money and just as good as expensive brands. I find gel liner is a lot easier to apply than liquid and dries better.
Maybelline Volume Turbo Boost Mascara - Intense Black
False eyelashes - Eylure Intense & various ones off ebay. I like them graduated (bigger at the outer corners) - to give a cat eye sort of effect and lengthen the eye
Eyebrows:
No.7 Beautiful Brows Pencil - Brown/Black Rimmel brow pencil in brown/black
MAC - Clear Brow Set. This is a clear gel with a mascara style wand and is perfect for keeping unruly brows in place!
Lips:
I am a lipstick junkie. MAC especially. A few of my favourites which I can think of are:
Rebel, Up The Amp, Blankety, Viva glam 1, Viva glam 2, Snob, Zen Rose, Riri Heaux, Ruby Woo, Riri Boy, Taupe, Mauve, Chilli, Flat out fabulous, All Fired Up, Nikki1, Nikki2
Also love the Kate lipsticks from Rimmel. There are some lovely pinky nude colours and they are really soft and moisturising. Love!
Brushes:
I can't remember them specifically from the top of my head, but I've got various ones from MAC and Chanel. I use a foundation brush, powder brush, angled brush (for eyebrows/gel liner), contour brush (for bronzer/blusher) and various eyeshadow brushes (my favourite being a crease brush)
Hair:
I don't use many products on my hair. I use Tresemme 24 body shampoo, Tresemme heat defense and Tresemme freeze hold hair spray I also use John Frieda Frizz - Ease Original Hair Serum
My hair is real, I use GHDS and babyliss curling tongs if I want to style it
The hair dye I use is Loreal Casting Creme Gloss, semi permanent. I change the shade of brown but generally stick with dark brown or chocolate truffle
Tan:
I no longer use fake tan, I use sunbeds so my tan is real, and I can honestly say I have never been so happy in my life to not have to use fake tan anymore! However, I used fake tan for years, and below is the best one I could find. It was a lot darker than any tan that the big brands like St Tropez ever had on the shelf. And it's also good value on eBay, hurrah!
Siennasol Extreme Developing Mousse
Rimmel Instant tan (medium matt or medium shimmer for a glittery glow) I would put this over the top of my gradual tan if I was going out for a boost
Tip:
Before tanning I advise you exfoliate thoroughly in the shower, make sure your skin is well moisturised, and use a tanning mitt/latex gloves to apply the tan. To make your tan fade instead of going patchy, exfoliate lightly daily and keep your skin well moisturised.
