Coming Attraction:
"Things in Common" by Colubrina FanFiction Audiobook!
Newt Appreciation Month... day #4.
Something Newt and I have in common. Hmmmph, I don't really know where to start with that. One of the reasons I fight so hard for Newt and the FB films in the first place is because he's really the only character I've come across where I can look up at the screen and feel represented in the right ways. No, I'm not a man. Or a wizard. Or a magizoologist. Or even a Hufflepuff. But I am someone who spent their childhood mostly alone for not being *normal*, being someone who thinks differently and is usually looked down on for it and constantly told not to be myself so I can fit in, connecting more with animals than people, being misunderstood and outcast, and spending every moment I can fighting for those who cannot fight for themselves or cannot fight alone. Newt is 100% neurodivergent and he fights so hard against those who don't understand and try to *normalize* him. Most times, it's actually a subconscious effort that he makes to say, "Yes, I'm different. And there is nothing wrong with that if you would really look at me instead of clinging to your prejudices. You'll never learn anything that way."
So yeah, I see a lot of myself in Newt, as do so many others who never felt they had a voice. Newt is that voice and I will continue to fight for him.
The light in me, honors the light in you. Namaste! ✌️
Thank you for tagging me @allmywill @duranarchy-in-the-uk and @music-on-canvas 💜❤💙
Started running out of ideas by the time I hit the 3rd column. Still a fun idea though! I'd be curious to see what others come up with. Tagging @musicacuantica @fatal-plastic-kiss @pauls-mccharmly @ddarefriendsofmine @tiggertaylor @discreetmusic @medazzabon @whats-her-name-virginia-plain @wonhakwoon and anyone else who wants to have a go at this!
“Isn’t that a movie made for kids to watch?”
Lee Yeon speaking for everyone when he quite literally facepalmed that comment.
