someone sent in an ask a few days ago talking about a poem they were going to write about their father, musing on the thought of being created "in his image". maybe making ourselves over again makes us god, in a way. in whatever way we choose to make ourselves.

Would the wildcats be a splinter group? The ones we meet in Ivypool's heart at least are descended from Gale rise meaning the remains of stormclan meaning they split off from the clans

Imagine the groups reaction to not just finding out abt a forgotten clan, but also that these Wildcats have 3 super power cats too

i'm not sure yet! i've read ivypool's heart now, but not stormclan's folly (gimme a week or two, i'm on star rn and will be reading it when i finish, but i have to check it out from the library and also school is crazy busy rn so it might be a bit), so i might have a clearer answer when i finish that.

the way that the wildcats are presented in ivypool's heart is as their own separate group, with only wildcats that are technically descended from galestar. plus, galestar left stormclan to stay with them, she didn't consider herself part of stormclan anymore. however, with the way they talk about the clans being slightly confusing (they are presented first as maybe calling their group a clan, but then that never gets followed up and they aren't called a clan after that), i'd like to see what stormclan's folly has to say about it. at this point, i think realistically i wouldn't really count them, because i feel like it would discredit their sovereignty/autonomy to classify them as a splinter group when they were originally their own group and just had one clan cat join them.

however, it would be super cool if they got their own power trio. i don't if i'd really be able to do anything with that, since we see them for such a short time and i don't think having a power trio would do anything for the story. but, if there were ever a time of great need where a power trio would pop up for them, it would be during the timeline of ivypool's heart when they are all being split up and dying out and all that. i don't know how i would incorporate that, but maybe part of the reason it's so important for them to get tumble leap and stalk purr is that one or both of them is part of a power trio, or their kids will be. to be honest though, i feel like that would undermine the already good reason to get them out of there.
