Thinking about the story of Abraham taking his son Issac up the mountain and fully ready to murder him just because god asked him to. It was a test, but he was willing to murder his own child and this is seen as a good thing. Now imagine being told that story over and over again as a young child, whilst painting god and Abraham in the "right." A parent telling this to their own child. That it was correct for Abraham to readily murder his son without a second thought because "god asked him to." And that they, the parent, would also put this nebulous concept of god over their own child. And that their child is worth less than "him" because they are a "sinner." That god will always rank above their kid in terms of a twisted sort of "love scale." That they would listen to a voice in their head telling them to kill or even just otherwise harm their child if god wanted them to. And making the child WELL aware of this.

Well, 2020 is coming to an end altho it was an incredibly shitty year in which nothing worked, i guess im grateful that im at least alive, relatively healthy and didn't lose anyone important to me. I really hope 2021 it's a little bit brighter because i don't think i can handle another year like that.

P5 theory: MC had a palace

What if the time between the trial and the start of probation distorted MC's perception of Tokyo, and the intro cutscene where he shortly activates the app on the crosswalk is him getting a glimpse into his own palace, seeing his own shadow, but because he gets a persona so quickly afterwards and persona users can't have a palace we'll never know if that was true

The Mystery

When you spend hours staring out the window on long car trips, when you zone out listening to classmates' speeches, when there's a blackout and nothing to do, and right before you go to bed, what do you Sensor types think about? It's not waking up as a young version of yourself and remaking all significant decisions. It's not imagining fictional world's of your own making or otherwise. It's not watching imaginary beings act out conversations for your own amusement like a god. It's not contemplating the details of the non-worldly to make the senseless make sense. What do you think about? I will never understand it.

There’s some real irony in that “degenerate” is an insult primarily used by young people indoctrinated into bigotry because if you think about the actual meaning of the term as something which has degraded from its superior prior state, a lot of the racists who use this term are actual degenerates as they are of worse morals then their progenitors.

Furthermore if we think about the meaning they use for degenerate as a lesser state of evolution, one of the greatest strengths of humanity is our capacity for widescale cooperation and bigotry is harmful to that cooperation so once again we can see that the group of people who use the term degenerate most often (racists) are people who are more accurately described by the term then many of those they use it against.
