didn’t particularly like the off campus show, but it introduced me to a world of books about black girls + hockey players that i hadn’t known existed. a win is a win!

oomf’s post about vampire mark had me thinking just a bit.. here’s some yap just a little bit

unlike vamp edega who i think was just born one, i think at some point mark got turned and isolated himself because of it, with the whole med school breakup being because mark was incapable of treating anyone without the major risk of hurting them himself (and him hurting edega since they were so close),, edega “moved on” from him pretty fast and never reached out as he did in the original game, though mark in this au never reached out either, again not wanting to be a danger to him

he very much would be the type to (try to) only get blood from small animals or something to avoid feeding from humans (he still feels like shit for it), though it def isn’t enough, he’s extremely weak and whatever powers he may have (idk which vampire rules id apply to this au yet lol) are basically gone

in the present he’s pretty reclusive bc he’s scared of what he’ll do to others if around them too long… if he is around others he has a pretty hard time blending in (way worse than vamp edega would) and the only way edega finds out abt him is because he got suspicious and caught him as he was eating or something (i think vamp edega would tell mark himself —it’s not too smart, but he knows mark won’t (can’t?) do anything about it because he cares for him too much,, that and it opens the door for edega to primarily feed from him) anyways edega keeps mark at middlesea for research (and protection—edega cares for him too, but he won’t say that) and in exchange he gives him blood (either from the hospital or his own,,) when it comes to human blood (especially edega’s muahahaha), mark has a bit of a problem when it comes to moderation (his body isn’t used to actually getting what it needs lol)

pretty cool au to think about i def wanna flesh it out more at some point muahaha
