"adrian is scared of chris" no he's not. i promise you, chris is significantly more afraid of adrian than the other way around.

this is literally his face when he realizes adrian feels absolutely 0 remorse when he kills people, and in fact, seems to really enjoy it.

he is afraid of adrian and for good reason. this is a guy who shows no issue with murder, has very few boundaries with people and his inclination to most inconveniences is violence. there was a time where his response being confused in an interaction with economos was to put his hand on his gun, like he was going to shoot him.

this is a guy who busts up drug rings alone, this is a guy who hoards illicit goods because he doesn't trust cops, this is a guy who meandered into his alternate dimensional home and giggled excitedly when a gun was pointed in his face.

he is NOT scared of christopher smith. please.

Sly (I) hails from a Victorian gothic eldritch horror. Their Mephistopheles is a submarine which scours the depths of a flooded world, where every district is a fallen civilization. Bleak, brackish water pours from the junction between their prosthetic and body, fading into mist before it hits the ground.

They can commune with and manipulate the souls of the dead. Each time they interact with a soul, they become telepathically linked to it and thus susceptible to its influence. At high mental corruption, they use this ability indiscriminately and erratically; this can create a feedback loop of self-sustaining insanity.

Aspect (she) hails from a tragicomic space opera. Her Mephistopheles is a giant cruise ship, sailing a sea of stars, and each district is a planet in the galaxy they traverse. The edges of her prosthetic fade into a shimmering nebula of stars.

She can telekinetically move objects, as well as transport them in and out of a pocket dimension. Prolonged or frequent use causes her to become intangible; she's physically hurt when things pass through her. Eventually, even the air can cause irreversible harm.

i have such a weird relationship with plastic surgery. i have chronic migraines and have botox injected into my face and neck and the procedure has basically made me go from being disabled by chronic migraines to being inconvenienced by them — until the botox wears off. i wouldn't have this treatment if people with migraines getting botox for wrinkles hadn't reported that it eases the pain.

i'm also a trans person whose top surgery hugely improved my daily life and self-confidence, getting rid of most of my body dysmorphia. the surgery gave me so much i wouldn't be able to have without it — like passing in men's spaces where i have to be shirtless. it's not just mental, it's also physical safety that that cosmetic surgery gave me.

i can recognize that plastic surgery is mostly misogynistic and preying on people's (mostly women's) self-confidence issues for profit. i despise the fact that certain faces can trend and that normal-looking people are losing thousands of dollars doing their best to not look like themselves...

but at the same time, cosmetic surgery saved my life.

So when Phaya asked how Tharn saved them in the cellar (the magical green light punch), Tharn said this (the "thing" he refers to is his amulet):

He doesn't remember. Just like Narong doesn't remember going green-glowy and extra powerful.

Phaya's amulet was yanked off of him, and Narong became - MAYBE - possessed by a Naga spirit that wants to harm Phaya.

Tharn yanks his own amulet off and...could he have been possessed? By a spirit that wants to protect Phaya, a.k.a. his own past life Naga spirit?

Dammit I love this show. I need more nowwwwww.

javier defender til I die. yes he was on the opposing side in the final standoff, yes he was a very negative force in chapter 6 as a whole, BUT STOP TO CONSIDER HIS CHARACTER!! you just fled your home country, you can't speak a word of english, you're on the brink of starvation and it feels like the whole world is against you, when suddenly a man you perceive as kind takes you under his wing and accepts you and clothes you and feeds you. not only was javier, in my opinion, probably one of the worst shaken by the whole choose-your-side ordeal, but is there not a motive behind his loyalty to dutch?
