10, 27 and 34 for the book asks!
thin! it’s been ages! :D
10. what book was better than you expected it to be?
I wasn’t expecting much from Echo After Echo by Amy Rose Capetta but now I see my folly, the absolute hubris of my actions. Excellent book, includes murder mystery and sapphics. THEATER SAPPHICS((Honestly forgot I read this book in 2020 because I read it in January))
27. what’s the genre you read the most of?
I’m about to out myself as a huge fucking nerd but I may make a spreadsheet every year to catalogue all the books I read and all the statistics that go into that so here’s a fun chart I had at the ready
I really like Poetry. ((gonna try to read more of my actual favorite genre in 2021, Horror))
34. what book have you recommended the most this year?
It’s between two books that I’m sure my friends would like me to shut up about already.
Have y’all heard the good word about Girl Serpent Thorn by Melissa Bashardoust? Or perhaps Horrid by Katrina Leno, that I have convinced almost the entirety of a discord server to read?
My very basic pitch for Girl Serpent Thorn: f/f Persian Mythology inspired fantasy, monster girls taking their power through any means necessary, moth imagery!!!!
Basic pitch for Horrid: horror YA, family centric haunted house, unhealthy coping mechanisms such as book eating, and the fact that once I picked it up I actually could not stop reading it.
