Came from nothing, may still be nothing... However, I'm always going to be what nothing made me, Gwen Cee. And, my nothingness sure looks GREAT on ME! I'm always going to be a daughter, writer, poet, woman, wife, mother, leader, career coach, LL Co-Founder, artist, author. In that order! Everyone else might not #CeeTheWorth or value that I bring but I'm learning to do so. I used to be embaressed that I wasn't from "Pleasantville." or that I had to keep a phone hidden to call 911 when things got really bad or that I was held hostage by.... or.... or... but here is the deal today: I am NOT letting anyone who can't have some #joy for me harm me. I am NOT letting anyone who wants to overshadow my #accomplishments bother me. I am NOT letting anyone tell me when, where or to what extent, I can be Gwen Cee, daughter, #writer, #poet, woman, /wife, #mother, leader, career #coach, LL Co-Founder, artist, and #author. Folks have freedom to chose who/what they support and if they don't like what I do - that is their choice. I have made enough mistakes that I can hold grudges against myself. Please #believe, I don't need anyone else to try to do it for me or to dim me. My #mistakes stay with me, I dont forget the things that I did when I THOUGHT I knew everything - fighting (jumpng/being jumped), being in the #streets, missing 69 days of #school for no apparent reason, drinking before school when I was there, (but somehow, I have a BSBA and Masters in #HumanResources. now) trying to get pregnant when living in Clarksdale with a #killer, (clearly that was not in God's plan for me), I did enough stupid stuff that risked my life or #freedom that I am grateful for EVERY piece of life that I live now. So, I'm going to be #happy for me, even when others aren't. That is what matters! I will always be okay because He gave me my purpose. Period. Sadly, I realize that there are some folks in GTown who I might have considered an enemy who probably #smile when they see a #book release or #CD drop from me... Even though it's going to #california ...it's #Love that originated from #gtown ... from the #409 ... the place that gave me the #name Gwen Cee and that makes it even more #special ... #aaron was my homeboy way back in the EARLY #nineties I appreciate all #support but anytime a homegirl or #homeboy, #classmate or anyone who I know from #Texas purchases #thebook or #theCD, it makes my #soul happy. #Galveston knew a lot of my #struggle and the rest was #hidden but these folks supporting Gwen Cee is #life #value and i hope Im #worthy ...
