(My spoiler-free review/rant of the glory that is BD2. Emphasis on spoiler-free.)
CAUGHT THE MIDNIGHT ADVANCE SCREENING OF BREAKING DAWN BEC LAWD THE LAST MOVIE OKAY AND LAWD WHAT I WENT THROUGH JUST TO SEE THIS MOVIE
I went to the mall 8 hours before the movie started bec I need to physically prepare myself for the onslaught that is going to be my feelings.
Walked around for a bit, ate and did things to occupy time while I am fidgeting internally. I was having a midlife crisis and everyone around me wasn't even aware.
So when it was just 30 minutes til the movie, I decided to go inside the theater but I was not prepared to see the nightmarish line waiting for me! I swear it's like half of the world population decided to watch the movie with me at the same time. And there were bitches who kept on annoying me that I got to the point where I just said, 'I'm going to slap a bitch' just to see if they would stop. I was so anxious and cranky that I was not in the right mood but when I went inside it's like my whole mood shifted from cranky to excited and I just can't wait.
Oh god not even halfway through the movie, I already cried! I didn't bring enough tissue to wipe away the snot and tears and I just I cannot deal. But then after a while it felt like the phasing was too fast for me but maybe bec I was really looking forward to the Cullen + witnesses vs. The Volturi face off and damn I can say that scene did not disappoint.
But omg I just the twist was everything you guys would not expect from the movie and god the musical score + A Thousand Years Part 2 is just amazing.
It's just that I cannot deal with the fact that this is the last movie. It's like the past 4 years of my life built this wall of expectation and excitement in me that now it's here and it's hard to let it sink in.
Bill Condon, Melissa Rosenberg, Stephenie Meyer, Wyck Godfrey and everyone who made this possible did a very great job. I can never thank them enough for this.
Just a friendly reminder, don't forget to bring boxes of Kleenex with you.
"And then we continued blissfully into this small but perfect piece of our forever."
