OKAY

this whole episode was an atom bomb in the face so for this one, for now, i'll just ramble on about my favourite scene by far which is, OF COURSE-

this one🥲 oh my heart. my dearest loustat.

first of all - this just shows once again, as we all know by now, what unbelievably talented, absolute powerhouses jacob and sam are each on their own but even more together. the chemistry? UNMATCHED.

so i might be overanalyzing it all like i always do but it hurt so much more when i focused on where louis catches lestat as he doubles over - he immediately, visibly realizes that something's wrong when lestat starts to hyperventilate/choke and is immediately there to catch him and hold him up.

he's literally bracing an arm and his hand across his stomach/chest. which is one of the main core points where a panic attack acts up. he is holding his core while lestat breaks down. he's not just hearing but also physically feeling lestat wheezing/choking/gagging and drowning in his panic.

and the syncing heartbeats thing with them? he's probably feeling his own heart hammer away in response to lestat's racing one. and lestat immediately leaning into the touch, head on his chest, probably listening to louis' heartbeat too. the kisses on his head, louis burying his face in lestat's neck just as he did during the s2 reunion, LESTAT BEING HELD AFTER LITERALLY COLLAPSING😭

also a side note but i, personally, have rarely seen a panic attack portrayed so viscerally, so realistically & well, so "not pretty".

it's so messy, it's suffocating, it's drowning, it's ugly, it hurts to all hell and back (personal experience here unfortunately) and i love love love sam even more than i already do for portraying this like he did

#seriously fck the “one tear and a bit of heavy breathing” that seem to be the norm for a “panic attack” in a lot of shows #THIS is realistic #i felt that in my own chest while watching god #literally felt sick from the point when he started retching in the car and onwards #the gasping the wheezing the choking the gagging #of course the level of that trauma is unimaginable but damn did i feel that #and their reactions were both valid honestly #yet i'm still glad lestat managed to tell louis how much he's struggling too #and that louis immediately realized that something was WRONG about all of this when lestat reacted so strongly #yeah i will be talking about this for ages #not even mentioning all of the rest of the episode god #i still need to process that #interview with the vampire #iwtv #amc interview with the vampire #amc iwtv #the vampire lestat #tvl #amc the vampire lestat #amc tvl #louis de pointe du lac #lestat de lioncourt #loustat #might be repeating myself in the tags but anyway #i love that we're all now in the same boat of cluelessness considering that all the screeners also only watched up until ep6 #BUT ALSO I'M NOW SCARED SHITLESS FOR THE FINALE AGH-

thoughts on solitude and living a life worth living.

I've been prompted to picture the life I would want to live.

Where would I want to live?

Immediately, I pictured myself living somewhere remote, surrounded by dense, green woods that make me feel loved and enveloped.

Clear lakes, and a cottage that feels like a home.

Not a lot of people.

An abundant garden that takes a lot of work to maintain, but bears the fruit of my labour. Space to move freely, breathe freely, be freely.

And, I thought that seems quite lonely, no?

But then, I realised that I need solitude, I need to be alone. And, other people really drain me.

Currently, I live in a beautiful city with so much abundance and culture. I could go out partying, or I could go on a shopping spree. I could go on, about doing things that you do in a city, I suppose.

But still, with all these choices, I don't.

I like predictability. I am drawn to stillness, to beauty. I like doing things on my own terms and having the time and place to appreciate them as such.

To conclude, I feel most at peace when I'm by myself. And I know that there is a fine line between solitude and isolation. I do value my relationships with other people and vice versa. But what sticks, sticks, and I'm not really built for amassing people like rare Pokémon.

bro nobody ever talks about the duality of dating oikawa tooru because yes he is loving and caring and cutely nerdy and will dote over you and hold you in highest esteem but he will also be insecure and prideful and want to always prove something and be stubborn on this yes he would be the most attentive and always try to do cutesy thoughtful gestures and give warm hugs but he would also most likely dislike being apart from you for long periods of time and always compare himself to other people

yes he would absolutely do anything he could to make you feel loved and appreciated but he will also be super emotional at times and find it difficult to consider your feelings if he's really toughing something out

like with any relationship, there are always going to be pros and cons, but I assure you that tooru is definitely one of the bfs who would listen to anything you have to say and better himself <3
