makaria could hear her father’s voice in her head, reprimanding her for her poor choices.  what were you thinking, makaria?  you are being reckless, you put zagreus in danger for what exactly?   she didn’t have the answers, and knew that nothing she said could excuse the mess they were in.  but makaria had just wanted to show zagreus a good time, to take him to her favourite late night hang outs, to show him the meaning of neon and loud.  she wanted to connect with him on a deeper level.

but drunk assholes were drunk assholes, and the one jeering at them now was the worst of the worst, the kind who liked to target pretty girls to boost his fragile ego. 

“back off!” makaria spat, glaring up at the man with as much of her mother’s sass and father’s ire as she could manage.  before he could respond, makaria felt a hand on her shoulder, pushing her back, and zagreus moved in front of her with purpose and grace.  “no, zag don’t--”

the drunk laughed in zagreus’ face.  “what are you gonna do, kid?  you gonna fight me?  i’ll snap you like a fuckin’ twig.”  and then he lunged forward, giving zagreus a hard shove.

Yes yes all of Dean caressing Cas’s face in reunions get cut out, but we should also talk about Dean reaching out for Cas in All Along the Watchtower being cut out as well

that isn’t momentum from being dragged away, he lifts that arm, reaching and leading with the fist, which is just beginning to unclench as he takes a step forward. He lifts the arm before Sam even begins to pull. He’s reaching out, taking a step forward, but before his foot can make contact with sand, Sam pulls. 

and that’s it, that’s all we get before they cut to a close up of Lucifer.

the next shot of Dean we get, Sam’s in front of him, both hands holding his arms and pushing him back through the portal. Between these two shots (if they hadn’t replaced it with Lucifer’s face) Sam needed to have gotten from behind Dean pulling him away, to in front of Dean, pushing him away.

so the implication is that the shot that had gotten cut would have been Dean reaching out for him, pulling his arm out of Sam’s grasp. Which would have prompted Sam to realize that pulling him away wouldn’t be enough, so Sam moves in front of him to push him back through the portal. 

It literally wasn’t enough to just tug him away Sam had to full body shove him back through the portal because there was a real fear that Dean would not have left without Cas otherwise.

anyways, dean refusing to leave greyscale worlds without Cas is probably the most consistent thing in the show
