{рус: восстановление и концентрация} Happy Monday! How was everyone’s weekend?! We spent the best time with friends and V and double E’s acquired new BFFs. I already had my ears buzzed off about when we can go back again. . Let kick the start of the week with some practices productivity. I will start with unwinding (today) and focusing techniques (tomorrow). . For productivity and focus, I found it to be very important to clear, unwind and relax the mind first. Here are some practices that help me: • breath focus Seems so simple, but it is one of the biggest relaxation practices that have an immediate effect and are very easy to perform. Close your eyes. Take a SLOW deep breath, counting from 1 to 8, and inhale the air into the very bottom of your belly. Hold it for 2-3 second after you get to the count of 8, and SLOWLY release the air in the reverse action. Repeat 3-4 times. • body scan As you are doing this breathing technique , feel how arms, legs and the entire body become heavy. Feel your body becoming so heavy, that you can’t possibly lift even your eyelids • visualization After you feel like your body becomes marble-heavy, with the next exhale, visualize all heaviness evaporating with the air you are exhaling, and with the following inhale , see the flood of shimmering light - any color - filling the body until every cell is filled with this colorful shimmering light. When you feel ready, open your eyes. This exercise takes at most 5 minutes to do and it’s one of the best way to “de-stress”, because, you know - MONDAY. . Do you, guys, want me to write concentration tips too? Do you practice relaxation and concentration techniques? When 5 o’clock hits it’s party time, and many times I don’t have time to swing by home to change, so a trick I use is a change of shoes. I think the tennis shoe trend is the best thing ever that happened to the world of motherhood. I make it a point to have lots of them to go with my outfits, and one of them I am loving right now is from the @HokaOneOne ’s Fly collection. I discovered them recently when I was looking for shoes for Nikola. I decided to try some on for myself, and don’t want to take them off. Thank you 💞 Continuing on. . So, communication is the key, but what if the second half doesn’t want to talk? . I have the most agreeable husband in the world. In words. He will agree to everything and anything. That, however, as I have learned over the years, does not mean he THINKS that way. Sometimes his approach saves the day, but not always. . Things that helped: • a third person : marriage is a union between two, but sometimes, I think, a third person is needed. A knowledgeable therapist, a priest, an experienced friend - a person of high respect. It’s not that you want to get all your dirty laundry out, but sometimes a different opinion is refreshing. To both. • vulnerability. Soooo hard to do. It doesn’t necessarily mean that the other person starts to talk, but they start to think for sure. We are all humans. We all resonate with sincerity. • finding something to share together: from a movie to a book, something that is “safe” to talk about that helps to build a connection bridge. In earlier years we would go out for walks and we loved reading books together. Those moments created warmest memories and up to this day we lean on them when challenging times happen. • understanding that it’s OK occasionally not to like your partner. Do you, guys, listen to @goop podcasts? One of the last ones had an interview with an amazing family therapist. His view is very refreshing - highly recommend! It’s the most marriage-friendly 20 minutes spent. .
