I've been reading some whump prompts to get me in the mood to write a sad part of my wip and give me inspiration so I decided to add to the pot my own prompt/what I'm using for my wip (my wip is set in a fantasy realm):

So the Caretaker(s) becomes Whumper after being lied to by someone (previous whimper or maybe a jealous friend) about Whumpee and they are convinced that Whumpee did something terrible. This causes them to take action and use extreme methods of punishing Whumpee who doesnt confess and is super confused and hurt as to why this is happening because they trusted Caretaker(s). After a short period of time, couple of days or so of whumping whumpee, Caretaker(s) are told that they were lied to. They feel terrible, they breakdown because "what the fuck have they done", and try to help Whumpee and make them feel better, but It's too late. Whumpee won't look at them and is terrified of them. Everytime the Caretaker(s) come near Whumpee, they start trembling and crying. Other people take Whumpee away from Caretaker(s) and now they can't see them until they recover. Caretaker(s) now will do anything to gain the Whumpee's trust again and realizes that they have to change within themselves before they can gain Whumpee's trust.

BONUS: Whumpee is now given the power to punish Caretaker(s) however they wish for what they did. Caretaker(s) don't care, they feel they deserve anything Whumpee throws at them.

BONUS BONUS: Whumpee doesnt punish them or gives them the least punishment they can, and just says "someone has to be merciful" before walking off.
