I loooove weird complicated relationships in star trek. Going back and seeing that episode in season 1 of ds9 where Riker ('s undercover clone) is there and in hindsight you can watch Kira's attraction to him and be like girl noooo that's your future boyfriend's wife's son-in-law ('s clone)

Has anyone ever seen a fanfic in which Tom Riker gets rescued from Cardassian labor camp and eventually becomes a member of DS9? I really need something like this😭😭😭

I'm obsessed with the fact that Will and Ro are canonically the same person. The only difference is that when Will had a massive gambit on the Pegasus that could've gotten him court martialed, it paid off and he got off scot free. When Ro made her gambit, it didn't pay off. That's it. That's why Will hates her so much, more possibly even than Thomas. Because every time he looks at her he realizes what could've happened if he didn't have his luck and privilege. The Riker that doesn't have his luck and privilege--Thomas--ends up exactly like Ro.
