I think people keep misinterpreting my feelings on Zatanna. I like her character. I don't hate her character at all. She's a good character, and there aren't too many prominent female magicians in comics (so it's cool to see one). But I still hate her style of magic. Since people seem to find my complaints about backwards speech ridiculous, i'm going to try writing this next section in backwards speech, and i'll time how long it takes me. I know this probably proves nothing (especially since i'm a slow typer anyways), but just humour me. I'll even write backwards about why it's hard for me to write backwards, and why i even get distracted writing forwards.

Now try reading that. It took me eleven f***ing minutes to type, it was impossible to focus on writing (because who's capable of quickly reversing words in their head!?), and now I feel like just wasted eleven minutes trying to do it! I hate it! It takes so much effort, for so little payoff. So if Zatanna ever ditches the backwards gimmick, maybe then I can have fun reading her stuff. As it is, yeht currently ekam em leef ekil gnikat a hammer remmah ot ym daeh.

I didn't even try to get up for the gym today, and after my fits last night Brian didn't even check on me* about it. He just got his coffee then got dressed and such. But now I'm here trying to drink my coffee and just... Don't want to. I keep reminding myself that I see Andrea tomorrow, but what if medicine isn't enough to break this cycle??????

i think at some point we have to ask ourselves: does circulating yet another “buying the hp game and donating to charity is basically reinventing indulgences lololol” post ACTUALLY hinder jkr in any way, or is it just prolonging her spotlight?

as far as i know ZERO of the people i follow and ZERO of my followers ever had any intention of playing this game so why must we all talk to each other in a circle with post after slightly rephrased post about how much we aren’t playing it. do you actually think these posts will change the mind of one single person who was planning to buy or pirate it??? do you think any of those people are even looking at your blog at all????? truly what effect do you think you are having because as far as i can tell the best case scenario is “none” and the worst case is “free advertising through negative publicity”.

i have so many harry potter keywords blacklisted and i’ve been postblocking left and right and STILL i am DELUGED with reminders of this game’s existence specifically spread by people who claim they want it to flop. 

i’m trying to be understanding about this, i get why the idea of people putting aside their principles for this game is so enraging, and i get the urge to “spread the word” but, as far as i can tell, on tumblr at least the word is well and truly spread already!

and, sorry to be cynical, but, i think mostly it just makes people feel righteous to shout very loudly about how THEY would NEVER
