I've heard that funerals and everything related to them is expensive, but to this extent...my grandma has died this morning, and the amount of money needed for cremation (the cheapest option) is scandalous. Preposterous even. People are left with no opportunity to grieve because they are crippled with anxiety about how to pay for everything in just a couple of days! Truly, I'm stunned. It's a crime that sending a person on their last way costs more than people could ever afford.
Nobody really talks about how scary it is to start losing friends in your late twenties and early thirties...I mean, it was difficult to keep in touch after not being in university anymore because we have different jobs, but now when friends get married and have kids, and their focus goes to their families...well...don't get me wrong, I absolutely do not feel bad about not being married and not having kids, I just feel sad that at my age losing long-time friends hurts, and finding new friends? Impossible. I thought I would find maybe some new friends at my new workplace, but no, it didn't happen. People were already in clicks. They were friendly, but there wasn't a place for me. And now...I dunno. I kinda feel resigned about losing a friend slowly, about our friendship slowly extinguishing. Because what can I do when the priorities have changed, and rightfully so?
I don't even know why I'm venting here. It's a strange period of life, I guess. And maybe it's a sign to learn to be my own friend.
For the first time in my life I've tried doing exercise at home. Some easy cardio for beginners from tutorials. 15-30 minutes at best. What do I get? What do I get????
My left knee hurts like I'm a 99 year old lady, and on top of that, my left ankle is in pain to the point that I'm limping. I swear there was nothing difficult in the exercises.
I'm waiting for the doctor's appointment because I'd love to continue doing exercise and walk without pain.
(I'm not even 30 yet, I've got two more years before the jokes about being old start lmao)
P.S. okay but I have to also say that my left knee has been bothering me since July 2025 if I walked too long, but never like this.
One of the things I never thought I'd get later on in my life is sleep paralysis. Sweet Jesus, it's quite terrifying! Quick Internet search tells that it's common in younger people, but I'm 28 and I've never had it before. Now it's been two episodes in about a month. Yikes. I can't seem to understand what's causing it though.
I'm still not sure how Pinterest works (the comments, the tags), but I've recently looked through my own board with my own edits and collages for my own fics...and people in the comments were commenting how my edits reminded them of other people's fics, and not a single one spoke about my own stories - for which edits were made for. It's both sad and funny for me at the same time. I'm glad that my edits reminded someone of other stories, but I'm sad that my own fics just aren't interacted with haha

I've had the very first migraine in my life 💫 what an experience ✨️ I panicked a lot, and cried, too. Truly a scary experience. I thought my left eye would pop with a blast, and I can't remember being this nauseous in a long while.
The worst thing about this whole experience...after fighting for about two weeks, I finally got an appointment with a neurologist, and all she did was prescribed me amitriptyline. Girl...I've had one migraine. First one in my life. All I wanted was an MRI or some bloodwork. Not a "fuck off" prescription of antidepressants. She didn't even give me a follow-up appointment. Just fifty days taking of pills with a whole lot of side effects.
So...now I'm at square one after trying to get help for so long. I've been taking paracetamol and ibuprofen almost daily for a month and a half, and I still have a headache daily. Wonderful. I'm scared of taking any more painkillers, but I genuinely believe that amitriptyline will make things worse - it's a very serious medication to be taken easily as the doctor prescribed.
Sorry for the inspirational quotes spam. I'm going through something in my life currently, and reading quotes and seeing pretty pictures makes me feel a tiny bit better ❤️
