Why Is Modern Pop Music So Terrible?

We went from music as an art...to fast-food, conveyor-belt music. Modern pop music is about as original and creative as breast implants and fake tans: There is practically nothing that separates one pop song from another. Even the lyrics are, quite frankly, monotonous repetition. If there are any talented music artists or bands out there, they are getting placed on the backburner. Modern pop music equation: A pretty face + Monotonous repetition = More profits Examples: Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, Backstreet Boys, Justin Timberlake, *Nsync, Britney Spears, Adam Lambert, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, Pink, Britney Spears, Selena Gomez, etc.
